You ever hear a song and been like "wow I wish there was a ski edit to this." Been doing that a lot lately here's my list.

My bad, was thinking Phoenix by asap rocky. TYW has an old edit on Hood I think set to palace unless Vimeo removes it

You’re right, I actually found it in my YouTube likes last night when I was checking these songs. That edit and the gunplay edit are pure history idk how I forgot about it.

I’m all for that, I just mainly listen to rap and that’s why my list was full of it, except for the hippie sabotage song.

word I wasn't personally attacking you, just speaking more broadly. If raps your thing thats totally cool, I just hope NS's horizons for edit music continue to expand, the more variety the better IMO

Holy shit someone else listens to sugar candy mountain? They've got some jams and I think that genre goes way underutilized in ski edit music.

Ive been diving more into psychadelic rock, trying to figure out how to best use it in some edits without being too woke haha.

Exactly why I laugh my ass off at the "OG" edits and casabon doing shotgun poses at the camera. What's so cool about acting like you came from a struggle?

We need more garage rock and 90's stuff in edits, that is a statement of fact.

The majority of rap fans are white kids from the suburbs. Sure the lyrics and the content don't match up, but it's not like other genres of music are writing about skiing either...

Also you have a good fuckin point, personally I've been trying to stray away with that gangster rap shit cause it's kinda dumb the more I think about it.

It makes for some sick edits but when you step back for a second and realize it's just some kid doing tricks sliding on rails at a ski resort who isn't a gangster it becomes kinda wack lmao.

Feel like it would make a good powder edit. Especially that trippy slow mo surfy cruisin style. With plenty of shots with snow falling down. That quite vibe when you're out away from everything with snow falling. Maybe some japan shot through those huge open trees.

Somebody linked me to a pow edit in one thread where I mentioned it, but can't remember what it was.

Probably gonna get mad dislikes for this but whatever.

Who gives a fuck if you put gangster rap in a ski edit, the music is there because the heavy beats sync well with stomped landings and make for good fast paced edits. Just because it's in a video doesn't mean I act like I'm black or stand on the corner slanging dope. Shoutout to Ian and the few others who actually understood this concept, the rest of you please keep listening to Rock and shooting up heroin because you are an exact replica of the music you listen to right?!!
 
Also, the reason rap is overused in ski edits is because the majority of rap fans are young and the majority of skiers pumping out good edits are young; it coincides and makes sense. If you old heads got a problem with it then go learn a trick or two, make a video with your music and quit bitching about something that isn't gonna change without your help.
