I found rossi softboots for 150, last years models but thats real good. I was wondering get those or hold out for 1080s or beasts which cost much more. Anyone know if bandits (boots) are any good?

I have the Rossignol Soft Light 1 boots, and love them. They are nice soft and warm for the park, but you can set them so they are stiff enough for pretty much anything.

thanks, just want something real soft to land on cause i have another pair of boots for all mountain. who is this fortskier guy ive seen him post 2 other times saying 'your a fag' or 'your gay'

Soft boots are sh*t for anything besides park. P*ssies where soft boots. If you are worried about your shins maybe you should get your ski boot fitted properly. Anybody can ski a Lange Comp 130 if it is fitted properly and get no shin bang. Soft boots are for fags.

my god, DO NOT GET SOFTBOOTS! get salomon 1080 or promodel boots or rossi power 90 boots.

$150 for new boots??? sounds like a damn good deal to me. I wouldn't pass that up.

Soft boots + soft skis = park domination. I have Langes. They work really well for me in the park. I wouldn't want to own them if I didn't have real boots, but since I have 2 pairs, it's a great system. And fortskier has never been anything but an idiot, so this shouldn't be any big revelation... anything he doesn't use is 'gay', for no good reason. I agree with everyone who's said the site would be better off without you and people like you.

DON'T BUY SOFT BOOTS!! my friend did, and it ruined his skiing forever, he got completly burned out of skiing when he got soft boots, and may never ski much again.

i wouldn't go for softboots, i don't think that you have the same control over the skis than with a hard boot. For example, this year i was riding a 9 boot. (10 is the hardest, except race pros) I was feeling like i was wearing sneakers or sthing else. And a softboot is, i would say about 4.

1080s have a flex index of 75. i don't think anybody needs softer boots than that. i have xwave6's (80 flex) and when i push really hard i start to overpower them, but i'm a pretty big guy too. but if you ski mostly park, softer is better. lange gx9's are NOT good for park skiing

soft boots are the shit. I mainly ski park but still ski all over the mountain. When i ski on the mountain i'm always skiing switch and doing 180's and stuff. The only bad thing about soft boots is that they are not that stable at high speeds. Its not like you cant go fast its just a little sketchy.

i have the nordica beasts.....i think they retail at like 550...i got them for 350 brand new...and theyre sucha sick boot....im so glad i bought them....ive never had any sort of shinbang, heal problems, or any coldness...and i ski on solid ice here in indiana...our landings are rarley soft....oh man therye are abosolutley worth every penny.....i woulnt trade them for any other boot...but you can get the nordica wave 8....which is cheaper and is pretty much the same boot minus some features

soft boots are absolute shit anywhere. I wore em for the park and I still didnt like em. Dont get Rossi Soft Boots. They are like mush just get 1080s.

yeah, i tried a pair on in the shop, and i couldnt get over it. there is almost no forward support. if you want a nice soft boot that is still very skiable outside the park, try a 3 peice shell design. some examples: Raichle Flexons, line transfers, dalbello CRX ( im prolly gonna get this boot to replace my transfers) dalbello krypton. a 3 peice shell is nice, because the flex is controlled by the front plastic tounge instead of plugs. this lets you get a ton of nice soft progressive flex. plus they are the easiest boots to get on ever. the line and CRX boots are both super adjustable, and let you fine tune your stance angle, flex, canting, as well as a buch of other stuff. you may still be able to find transfers on ebay for next to nothing, but the CRX is definatly more refined. check um out.

Lets go skiing

Boots don't make the skier, the skier makes the boot. I have rossi soft 3 boots and I spend 90% of the day in the park. Not cold feet once and my shins were alot better then they were in my salomons. I also found that I could still get a lot of performance out of them on groomed runs when i wanted to.

boots are still hella important. more important than skis for sure (albeit less glamorous).

Life sucks, get a fucking helmet

Dearest Fortskier;

Dont forget everyone have different preferences, and 'one size doesnt fit em all', moron.

I found softboots very comfortable, and it's pretty padded up enough not to get shin bangs but unfortunately it's too wide for me so I had to settle down to 1080s boots.
