Let me premise this by saying that I am a gooner for life. Anyway, the only reason it was a straight red is because of the injury it caused. He shouldn't be banned for life, the rest of the season, etc... only the usual three games a red card usually gets (I think that they should appeal the red, but that will never happen). You can't judge his ban on the pictures, you have to watch the video, if you do you will see there isn't any intent whatsoever, it's just a really clumsy, mistimed challenge. He obviously didn't realize how quick Eduardo was. As was said earlier the only reason that Eduardo broke his leg was because his studs were planted in the ground, if they weren't we would have seen him get up. I'm really sad to see this happen to him, he was soooo young and was working well with Adebayor up front, and now we will have to have fucking Bendtner (whose fucking useless). In conclusion I've seen worse tackles that have gotten yellow cards, it was just a very unfortunate mistake on Taylor's part, and Eduardo payed for it. I am sure Taylor is at a really low place right now, I feel for both parties involved in this mishap.
