Gagnier is not on Salomon anymore u are right. walker is on the team I helped him the other day with some stuff and he is still with them they way it sounded. Martini I belive is still on the team. The just don't show ever one

as a brand, they have to way to much 'fun', and its time someone came in and brought the competitive reality of our sport by smashing out a dub 12 in mega-mo over their little indie folk fairytale world. whats more artsy than juxtaposition?
 
If this is true which i highly doubt. I would say that he will either go to scott or k2. None of the small companies would be able to afford him and i can't see him going with armada because of tanner and it doesn't seem like he would fit with armadas team. Because scott makes goggles my best bet is k2.
 
One of my good friends who I ride with all season at Mammoth and who actually works at Armada in Costa Mesa has told me multiple times that:

a) this thread is true. dumont is no longer going to be with salomon.

b) he approached Armada about a contract. he wanted a significant amount of money. armada said no thanks, we can't pay you what you want, but we would give you free product that's about it.

c) Tanner hates him. Dumont to Armada will not happen. He's heard Tanner in the office say something along the lines of... "F' that f'ing f'." I'll let you all fill in the words that start with the letter F.

This isn't a post about hearsay or me trying to throw around my industry street cred, just looking to clarify people's misconceptions. As far as a guess as to where he might ago? Well, it's a tough time to be asking any company for close to 7 figure deals. Maybe ask his agent Michael Spencer

He just tweeted that he is visiting his new ski sponsor's factory and he will be announcing it soon
 
I heard hes signing with Hane because hes sick of having bacon necks on all his tall tees. It will also give him a opportunity to work with jordan and start his basketball career.
 
Not atomic as salomon/atomic are the same company....for the $$ he's asking I think rossi or K2 would be the only companies able to pay him. Armada would never sign simon.

I heard he was asking for close to a 7 figure number, salomon dropped him because he wanted nothing to do with ski developement, just wanted to get paid 7 figures to ski in x games half pipe...I also heard that salomon will be dropping other athletes...just a rumor but i heard K.T may be getting dropped aswell....time will tell
 
7 figures? No way, he is on the way down anyway, is not consistently 1st/2nd in events and is not the most popular film skier, but he is getting older. He could win gold in 2014 but is not a lock by any means. His career has already peaked, and while he is still a huge name, it would be stupid for a company to pay that much.
 
this.....this could be wrong but i was reading that simon is still riding for salomon, hes juts not on the team.....as weird as this sounds i kinaa believe it (i heard he ask for a promotion or some thing and they said no)

I heard he wanted his pro model back but didnt want anything to do with developement....i bet he is still riding on salomon's aswell...unitl whoever picks him up gets his new pro model pressed and ready to go...I always thought it was funny that the dumonts came in 181 lol if he has a new pro model it should only come in his 166 size
 
there's a reason why he got dropped from Salomon and has yet to find a new sponsor, It's because he's too difficult to work with
 
did you develope the atomic reactor boot??? lol looks so much like an spk....probably because amer sports owns the right to the mold and any of its sister companies (atomic) can also use the mold.....i would think a sponsorship works pretty similar...and cant see atomic taking an ex salomon athlete...mybe im wrong though, you develope boots for atomic so have you heard he's joining your team?? we all want to know
 
I don't need to look it up- I work for Atomic at the Austrian Headquarters and I think I know how separately the two companies are run and operated. Completely separate product management, R&D, marketing, and athlete management. Skis and boots are about as separate as you can get, only sharing a roof to produce things under. The only thing we share are some of the bindings, but beginning with Tracker/Guardian, bindings will be a 50/50 joint collaboration between the brands.
