So who is Simon going to? any predictions?

so your pay stub says....amer sports? the same as salomon's boot manager!? wierd i guess i wasnt wrong...so if they are so seprate and the only thing you guys share is a roof why do all your atomic boots look like salomon molds with different colors and branding?

im not hating on atomic or salomon fyi i like both brands but i am more curious on the seperation of the two.

This has gotten far from the fact that dumont will most likely not be riding for atomic...i cant see him leaving your office building to end his salomon contract and then turn around and walk into the same building and sign on with atomic....all i was saying...
 
No hate, just clarifying a few things... My pay stubs say Atomic Austria GmbH, since Atomic is in Austria and Salomon is in France and Amer is in Finland. Simon would have to walk a few thousand km to get to our sports marketing office if he walked out of Salomon's. And what 2 boots from Atomic and Salomon look alike? Not one adult mold is shared between Salomon and Atomic- literally both companies operate as competitors. The last thing we want to do is turn into Lange/Rossignol.
 
Who's to say Simon got dropped by Salomon? A contract works both ways 'ya know. This has probably been said, but I'm not in the mood to read 7 pages.
 
Simon has a sponsor now, but they havent announced it. He went to the factory today, just no one knows what factory it is.

the atomic reactor is very clearly a dressed up spk....Dont know much about the other boots in either brand tbh but i know the technologies are shared between both companies in there boots. they wouldnt use the same name for there "shell streching" technologies but it does the same thing...and one company cant sue one over using there tech because....at the end of the day its the same company...thats the amazing thing about a corporation like amer sports...it owns atomic and salomon they can share and make similar products, compete against each other, but at the end of the day it all ends up in amers pocket to pay yourself and salomons boot designer.

 
I missed this post earlier... For one, that's not how Amer operates and two, it's a completely different fit, one that actually expands automatically to the width of your foot. The only similarity is that they have two buckles, and if you would try them on you would see how different they are.

Separate companies, separate design, separate development, separate marketing... We just happened to be owned by the same parent company, who wants us to remain separate.
 
You do not understanding how holding/investment companies, joint partnerships or operating companies work.
 
I'm going to go back to the topic of this thread and say one more thing before I dip...weather Dumont rides for Salomon or atomic his crazy high salary would come from amer sports which I why I originally said I don't see it happening.
 
Lol, I don't think they understand that you actually work for atomic. You can pull the gun outta your moth man, don't let em drive ya too crazy.
 
Amer actually doesn't decide who is on Salomon or Atomic's freeski teams... Each brand has its own Sports Marketing Department, which operate completely independent of one another. My roommate runs the Atomic Freeski Marketing department, and he operates completely within and as an Atomic employee. His decisions are made regardless of what Salomon does or what you think Amer dictates.

Now whether or not it is a good decision for Atomic to offer a Salomon athlete a position on the team is another matter altogether.
 
I know he works for the atomic. I'll say it again though amer sports would be absorbing the cost of having Dumont as an athlete for atomic or Salomon so maybe I'm wrong maybe he will just switch to a sister brand....wouldn't make much sense....I love how Salomon people hate being affiliated with atomic and vice versa....wake up your a team in a world of marketing...it all ends up amers pocket wether the consumer buys atomic or Salomon products the money goes to to same place....Finland apparently

You also sound like you know a lot about how Amer, Salomon, and Atomic, work together. How many years have you worked within either of the three groups...?

Anyways, regardless people Dumont like I said earlier is going to home depot.
 
considering this means he is also changing his boot sponsor, either atomic or nordica. if he goes to nordica they will be unstoppable
 
if he goes to coreupt they will have the most stacked pipe team, Dorey, Rolland (who they just picked up if u didnt know) and simon!
 
I think I read somewhere that he checked out some Full Tilt's and was pretty stoked on them.

For skis I do not know, but I'm sceptical to Coreupt, as I dont think they could afford to af him, Kevin and JF Houle at the same time.
 
well lets do some processing here! Simon will obviously not be going back to Solomon. Next is coreupt I doubt Simon will join coreupt as they have the two out of top 3 pipe skiers and he will never get his fame or pay he desires. next is k2 this is quite a good option for Simon they have no big shot pipe skiers and have the money to pay for him. next is Nordica this is the best guess to where Simon will be going as I see, they have the cash and their skis are fantastic and his only competition there is Olenek. next and finally is dynastar. Dynastar has stepped up their game and brought in some great pipe skis perefect for what simon wants but I dont know If there company could handle that loss of all the money Simon wants. My best guesses would be dynastar or nordica because they seem to have what he wants and is looking for.
 
I've only been following this thread now and then, so don't know all the predictions. I've heard Armada, Nordica, Corrupt, but has anyone else considered Scott? Big Company with lots of $$$$ and unless I'm forgetting someone, they don't have a big name male pipe skier. Just my 2 cents.
 
The thing preventing him from going to scott is his ties to Oakley. Scott would want him on their goggles and there is no way in hell that would happen

 
Yeah definitely, look a Tom. He has a deal with scott for only skis and goggles. Yet scott also makes outerwear, he doesn't wear that.
 
i cant believe this shit is seven pages long. for someone who gets so much hate, you guys seem to be pretty fucking interested in the brand of skis he's going to be riding. it's almost as if your lives were massively affected by it or something..

atomic, i dont see simon going to any like underground ski brands like ninethward, he'll go to the one with the most $$$$ cause he's "simon big air dumont"
 
hes posted a pic on twitter of cores and said he was touring his new ski sponsor's factory, and hes announicing it next week. So he's to say he got dropped
