That's it. Done. Over it. Im through with poles. Skiing without them is a lot easier and you use and learn to be balanced better. Please don't hate....I still ski...! :s

hahaha... word... i wanna give it a try this year and be legit with it my buddies and i would always just chuck our poles off the lifts and just go get em but i think i might leave mine at my house a couple times this season.

^ im going to assume that's e-sarcasm. at first i really didn't like how it looked, but now im warming up to it a bit. Personally i ski too much out of the park to ditch my poles tho

no poles is really fun but in some instances poles are pretty much necessary that being said i like no poles better

I've tried it, and its not that bad. It amazes me how some people hear the phrase "no poles" and instantly reply "BLASPHEMY"!

wtf? its not that big of a deal, good for you for trying something else.

I use very small poles or not poles when I'm just playing around. When actually skiign though, sheesh, I can't ski anything hard without feeling as helpless as a seagull caught in a hurricane.

see, this was the mentality back when twin tips were just being invented,

" I hate twintips, why would you use them? most skiers ski with directional skis, so thats what you should do too"

I just hate when people shut down the idea of no poles just because it's different. If you don't like no poles, then fine, your entitled to your own opinion, but don't bash it just because most people use poles

yeah i stopped too, i just did it for a couple days then tried going back to poles and i couldnt even finish one run.  but shit everyone is dropping their poles so its not original any more.

i remember when i was pissed that i left my poles at home skiing one saturday, and it turned out good! grabs are sick w/out poles

when hitting bigger booters and learning corks the poles really help out, smaller stuff though it's helps your balance. and pep and andy didn't start no poles, diggers did! haha

i gonna ride with one pole in my right hand and do hand drags with my left and then when i need to push ill hold onto it with both hands and use it like a paddle for kayakers! haha im jk if any body doesnt know sarcasm...

yeah its like not even a trend anymore,  so many people are going no poles and realising its completely useless in the park, i think in like 5 years you are gonna see way more people without poles than with in the park.

ya thats legit a buddy of mine todady took a pole plant to the pace not only a bloddy jacket and nosee but a cracked oakley lense skiing without poles much smarter

I;m not trying to hate on no polers or anything, it's your own choice, but i personally shudder when i see a skiier without poles (or a snowblader period). If you can find a way to do either and not look like ricky bobby in his first interview, then i'm all for it, but until then, i'll stick with my poles even in the park.
