How can you hate Van Persie? He's a fantastic player. He doesn't fall any time he's touched, and he's not a dirty player.
And Denmark were way outplayed. They got lucky at the no-call on the handball. Van Persie had that one awful, awful touch. Huntelaar should've finished that one time. Robben got unlucky with the shot off the post. The Netherlands don't have a very good defense though, but Denmark's goal was still lucky. A messed up cross which leads to a Danish player getting the ball on the run and shooting a bad shot between the goalies' legs? It was not a deserved goal.

what you don't seem to understand is that you can complain and bicker all you want about how "netherlands had so many more chances" or "denmark's goal was so lucky" but in the end, no one is going to remember that in a couple of years. and people need to realize that right now, in this tournament, none of that matters one bit. All that matters that that denmark was able to score the ball while the netherlands either missed, fucked up, or got shut down by the danish defense. Yes, they controlled a good part of the match, had a lot more shots/chances, but the dutch didn't score.
They can lead in all other statistics (passing, chances, possesions, etc) but they lost in the most important of them all: scoring.

Everything else you said was correct, except this. A deserved goal goes to the better team, who creates their chances off of good offensive play. Not a flopped cross from a Danish player who was constantly fucking up. It wasn't a Dutch mistake except maybe the slow reaction after the cross which gave the Danish player the chance to run. But their goal still came from a lucky play, even if the Dutch were still slow to react.
I get that scoring leads to winning, and the Dutch didn't do that, but I still will always support my Dutch team, and if any country in Europe deserves to win a big tournament, it's the Netherlands.
