Snow Watch 08/09

stevens was pretty fun today. saw a bunch of you guys up there seshin the box. i was the one with the antifreeze setup. i seshed a little then came back later and everyone was gone. i was like wtf?
 
Aye suhiman where are you about to work?

First season? They probably won't notice, I got black listed last season for taking some rental poles and nothing happened.

Billy and I went up to Stevens today, and it was epic to say the least. I scraped up my Hellbents a bit, but such sick snow. We also played on a box with a bunch of other folks, fun times if you were there. Shiro, you missed out at Snoqualmie.

 
Yesterday was fun, wish I hit that jump more ( on top of the halfpipe) and I wish I had some wax on my skis. I had fun at the box too

everything david does is dirty.

yeah i wish i had gone, i want committed enough to make the 2 and half hour drive there.

maybe Friday or this weekend anytime i can hop a ride with someone, if anyone is going....
 
I think I am going to attempt to get up to Stevens on Friday or Saturday and fuck around. I figure I wanna get up there and get a few turns and get some hiking in to get my legs geared for the season. Hopefully it snows a few more inches and the weather holds up next weekend and doesnt warm up because I dont wanna be sweating my ass off.

supposedly the jetstream may get us again like normal by late next week. I won't hold my breath, but I hope it happens.
 
I was at Stevens most of the day and it rained off and on all day. I had a lot of fun but damn this rain needs to fuckin stop.
 
Driving through Snoqualmie today was one of the most depressing moments ever. This has got to turn around. If the economy is going to be shit, at least there needs to be snow to take our minds off it...
 
Ive got to deal with finals for the next week and a half so in all honesty part of me is glad nobody else gets to ski yet, but yeah most of me feels bad. Im sure it will come, hopefully it will dump through break to make up for this shit~
 
i think im going to cry soon.

there is so much stress with finals and everything, yet no skiing to give me a release. fuck

He's in his room sleeping right now, at 4:30pm. If finals were that bad, he'd be studying or working on something.

I will say that I don't envy you college kids at all. I leave work... and work stays there. Homework is for children.

Now that said, this rain sucks.

Im taking two classes, neither of which i get to go walking in the woods for and an internship. Chem definitely isn't my strong suit. as discussed earlier, walking in the woods is...

as for "masking the greasy beer farts" i can do that pretty well also, especially when walking in the woods.
 
will there be enough snow on the restorts to open on the weekend of the 13th?...if there isnt can i hurl myself from a hefty cliff?...i might have to..
 
it will all depend on if we actually get snow.

the forecast isn't too bad. not great, but at least its better than just straight up pineapple express.

speaking of which, fuck snow dances, burn pineapples!!!!!!!!
 
haha yep! i cant wait to eat ramen and gyoza and all the delicious snacks, and drinks and food. and ma po to fu.... mmmmmmm, That would be sick, for lunch at the hill i can eat curry or ramen!!!! awesome
 
just heard from a reliable source that the snow level is supposed to drop to 2500 feet wednesday then down to 1500 thursday. next week. heavy precip as well. i know thats more than a week off, and that weather patterns can change but hey...fuck it. im optimistic, unlike chipper.
 
Well instead of being optimistic im going to choose to be completely ignorant and believe you no matter the source. Thanks for telling me ill be able to go skiing as soon as finals are done~
 
I hope thats the case. I want to be able to hit stevens on my way back home from school that weekend. Its far fetched but never know, hell ill probably even hike Stevens if they got snow and aren't open.
