Today... Rain and snow. Windy. Snow accumulation up to 6 inches. Snow level 5500 feet lowering to 4500 feet. Afternoon pass temperatures in the lower to mid 30s. West wind in the passes 15 to 25 mph shifting to the southwest 10 to 15 mph this afternoon.

Tonight... Rain and snow. Snow accumulation up to 6 inches. Snow level 4000 feet. Southwest wind in the passes 10 to 15 mph.

but then it drops down to 3000 tomorrow.

i thought yesturday was supposed to be the warm day!

this is what baker is saying right now

Freezing levels have taken a bit of a roller coaster ride today. Revised forecasts are calling for the temps to spike early in the day here and then by mid morning TEMPS ARE EXPECTED TO DROP WITH A BREAK IN THE PRECIP. The FL is expected to drop to below 3000 feet again by early this afternoon. Things are looking promising again by late today with WEDNESDAY LOOKING CONSIDERABLY COOLER - 2500 FL dropping to 1,000 foot FL with up to a FOOT OF NEW SNOW EXPECTED during the day on Wednesday.

Good news is that the past few days have helped the snowbase at Heather Meadows top 100 inches. . .and more is expected.

anyone know if this FL spike hit stevens?

yea it hit stevens just as hard as anywhere. it was a mix for a bit.

it spiked up and last hour was the warmest (10). the snow level looks like it was around 5000-5500ft so it cetainly rained

i checked the webcam like, 20 minutes ago. wow is all i have to say, wow. i witnessed some of the largest flakes ive EVER seen. check it....

yesterday morning was one of the most KICK ASS days I've ever had at stevens... but then on last run it started to rain and I was a but upset about it...this whole week was supposed to be like yesterday morning...

ooh so we have broken 100 inches at stevens, very nice. this is great, now it can rain a tad bit and it wont be the end of the world

sooooo sick, we're gonna be skiing sooo much powder and shit, and when its done dumping, central's park is gonna be oof the hook!

yea the park was non existant. i only went through once because i had a little fun on a chute. there is so much snow its rediculous. not the most by any means, but definitely a lot

yeah their was so much snow at baker and it was pretty heavy that a lot of areas couldn't make enough speed to really ski through it and you couldn't see any of the features in the park it was wonderful

ya i tried to hit the c box a few times and that just wasnt workin out haha. the park was kinda cool to ride through tho cause it was just all untouched pow cause no 1 was goin in there.

hopefully it really doesnt rain. itll be dope tomorrow if it doesnt. either way itll be sick. but there is a couple of weird layers in the snow. if you get your tips too far below the surface on a flatish section, your going down. so it would be iffy if it got even heavier, but its sick now. wish i could have gone up today

thigh deep = waist deep for me, and yes. even at noon when we got there, there was so much untracked deep powder, it was nuts.

It was so great to be skiing snake dance again after 3 years. And NOBODY was up there today.

word. yesterday at stevens was remarkable. the backside was all filled in from being closed for two days and from the wind. untracked to be found all day. no lines, nothing. there was waist deep in many places. some of the best tree skiing ive ever had

yea. there is so much snow. not the most but it has been a while since it has been this wintery.

last time it was like this was december of '03, but this is better

yea i kinda was just being bored and stuff and yea i just walked by a window...u know...like normal then like i just stopped and turned around and walked by again...and yea rice is falling out of the sky

hahahaha, yeah. i looked outside and started yelling. It was sticking good too.

but it stopped like an hour or two later, and there's nothing on the ground this morning....

Wow, so looking at the Alp webcam right now, the mountain is EMPTY and its totally sunny up there, shadows and everything. And I'm at school all day, then work. LAME. MONSTER LAME!
