Snow Watch 05/06

dang, sat was so sweet at baker.

not many people cause all the busses and lessons were canceled from strong winds early on.

it took them a long time to open chair 6 but when they did i was first on it. so good... pan dome opend the next day though

teacher work day for everett high school district so i'll be up @ stevens monday
 
Probably shouldnt be talking about Canada in here, but family made a trip to Sun Peaks over weekend. Lightest snow ever...first tracks. It was only in 1 foot and I missed out quite a bit at Baker, but I was much gladder to ski an uncrowded hill. Besides, not like I havent skied pow at Baker before.
 
yea it was crowded. i was over at hyak and central sean.

is anybody going to alpental tuesday???? im mighty temped to go up that day... but my vehicle wont manage the shitload of snow

if not, stevens it is

grant, you were at snoqualmie? we were at alpental.

good GOD I have NEVER seen it that crowded... literally ALL of the parking lots were full, it was nuts. But then at 11... everybody dissappeared? There was no line!

short but AMAZING DAY! Lots of untracked to be had, spent most of our time in snake dance again, and it still amazes me. And of course, we mustn't forget felsen, haven't skied that in like 4 years, oh it was so fun!
 
(monday) stevens was pretty sick past 12 o/clock when the cold front came in and dumped 8 inch dry snow ontop of 2 foot heavy snow. it was fun just hitting all the cliffs off hogs and Tye rock, landing was supurb. no pics though
 
i hear it was shat, but that was early in the morning (prior to the coldfront)

its a bummer to know that it rained, but whatever. snow is snow, kind of
 
word i didnt recognize u haha i think i saw u tho. u didnt notice me eather haha i was hitting the trap box the up box/flat down box and the hip the whole time. that fuckin hip can launch u if u hit it right, i almost died and killed someone lol
 
i ate a fat amount of shit on that c box too lol my hip does not like the C. but yo when u commin back up to baker to shred the real nar i meen we almost got 300in in 1 month!!
 
What are you gonna fill out another comment card? Make sure the park is always empty or something if our that pissed off. Enforce it with a pellet gun....
 
hahahaha - It might actually be pretty fun to light up all the gapers and "bad" park managers with a paintball gun. Well, maybe not the park managers, they might catch up as your riding away.
 
So um, back to weather.

Anybody else been following whats coming up?

Snow in the lowlands possible tuesday, its gonna be butt-cold the rest of the week, and looks like lowlands snow ALL of next week. On the king5 extended forecast, all of next week the highs are the mid 30s, lows upper 20s, with precip all week.
 
yes, we will have snow at sea level. look at friday now. it went from rain/snow mixed to "Snow Showers"

its gonna be a good weekend!!
 
i woke up all groggy and delerious and sick and i couldnt figure out why it looked messed up outside. then i realized there was snow

god, with the sun I was SOOO fricking hot at Hyak today. And it was EMPTY! Like seriously nobody there.

Too bad my sister only lasted 5 runs, its 1:30 and I'm already home. And we started skiing at 10:30, bleh.
 
Jesus, i went night skiing at stevens last night. I havent been that cold ever i think. Getting into the car after was atrocious, the wind sucked every bit of warmth away. I think it was -8 F when we left around 10. Such a nice pipe up though, all cut evenly and nobody skiing it.. or anywhere else for that matter.
