So how do you get the B&E and the 9Knights map

The 0.6.0 update is currently in testing (you need to have purchased the Tester pack to access the Test version of the game) but once it's stable we'll roll it out. Full focus on making that happen this week.

Just so you know in the tester update you cant change maps or quit a level without the game freezing.

Why did I only buy the starter pack when it was first announced? Haha

Can't wait to get my hands on all the new stuff

Just went through the new update, great visuals as usual. But I'm not really a fan of the new close up angle we got on the new update, is there any way to get back the old view? The new one kinda makes it hard to perform tricks, and it zooms out way too far if I try to change it.

You can customize the camera angle in settings now and make it exactly how you want it.

All these new levels and all are great but you guys really need to work on the actual physics and rails. It just doesn't feel smooth at all

Couldn't agree more, rails should be more like shred sauce although I'm sure this has been said enough already.

If im correct they said next update is more physics and rail fixing

Like shredsauce? It's already like shredsauce, no lock-ons and such. It should be more like skate. And besides that, I also noticed how everything takes much longer to gain more speed now. I often knuckle the jumps, and there is no way to clean hit that 9knights jump.

new maps, menu's and everything looks great now!

i just ddont see how its possible to hit rails in this game. I touch maybe 1 out of 100.

too slow for jumps too fast for rails. id think it was just me but i havent seen one person put out a edit showing otherwise.

Since the new update it is really buggy. Sometimes unplayable and plenty of gamebreaking bugs. For example, the game craches when I switch map after playing one of the new ones.

Please verify your game file cache (https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=2037-QEUH-3335) as that might solve some issues.

Otherwise please email us at bugs@poppermost.se with your issues so we can make sure they're fixed. Every PC is different and sometimes bugs only occur for some people. The joys of PC game development... :D

So hopped on again today and you get like zero airtime, rails are nearly impossible and the view is just not nice. Needs huge improvements, take away the fences everywhere. Was MUCH better before

this. the game was more playable when it first came out. Looks better now though :/

And another thing to add is the popping off jumps and rails does not look smooth. It is very noticeable in SNOW edits and it just looks jagged and unclean

You guys need to do something with the game and the customizability of outfits as you are losing players.

Can someone help me out? I'm totally new to pc gaming and steam and the graphics are terrible on my computer. I know that I don't have a gaming pc so I don't expect graphics/performance to be fantastic but I expected my computer to be more capable than it is. I'm getting playstation 1 quality graphics at best. I have a dell with:

2.70 GHz intel i5 cpu

8 gb ram

windows 7 64 bit

Intel HD graphics

Are there any settings I can change to improve my graphics or am I screwed without a gaming pc?

you're going to want to update your graphics card and with it possibly your power supply. Cost for the card depends on what you are looking to get, if you are just playing snow you might want to just get a cheap used one, but if you are seriously looking into pc gaming you might want a card that is going to seem way out of your budget. I say you may need a new power supply because it might not have a 6 pin connector on it needed for your graphics card. Watch some youtube videos and look around, but that is what is currently holding you back. This is all assuming you aren't on a laptop.

By dell I'm assuming you mean a desktop?

Anyway you need a GPU. Based on your build, spend about $150-$200.

What GPU you need varies depending on your system, use pcpartpicker, I'm not gonna hold your hand through this so use your brain to figure out what'll work.

Some things you may want to consider:

1. You'll need a toolkit, and an anti-static wristband (you'll need to know how to use this too). Also may be worth getting an antistatic mat.

2. You'll need screws.

3. You'll need a power cable, probably a pci-e. These normally come with the power supply, but since you didn't build the pc you don't have them.

4. You'll need to check if your power supply can power your computer with a new GPU, allowing for a degree of inefficiency.

All the information you need to add a GPU is out there. Just be cautious and remember that you could fuck up your whole computer if it goes wrong. That's unlikely, but there's a high chance that you'll break a very expensive component that will need replacing if you aren't careful.

That said, the risk reduces itself to almost zero if you do your research and prepare well before getting inside the pc.

I am on a laptop. I don't need incredible graphics/performance but right now it's atrocious. I'm not really looking to get into pc gaming because I already have a console but I would like to be able to run SNOW on my pc. I thought I read somewhere in this thread that most modern laptops would be able to play SNOW without any issues. Rails don't load until right before I hit them and all of the graphics are pixelated and jagged. Do I have any chance of getting decent graphics with my Intel HD Graphics 4600 integrated card?

We have never supported Integrated Graphics as they have never been made with gaming in mind. Unfortunately there's not much we can do to optimize the game more for integrated graphics.

Its waaaaayy too slow for jumps now.

YES. or the spin speed is too slow. but i can't get anything over a dub 9 on the biggest jumps, used to be able to trip 16. Tbh the speed (it's really hard to take jumps big though, almost always knuckle) and spin speed look fine to me, but the airtime just doesn't feel right, like how the fuck can i not double easily on the biggest 9knight jump????

13477809:Static said:
needs more fences, there are still a few spots you can actually hit cliffs and rollers /s

Yeah, wtf guys. I know you're trying to make it look good and stuff, but forget about the fences, seriously, they are SO frustrating, just pleaaase delete them.

Rails in my opinion are hittable, ok they're not perfect, and doing a k fed is pretty impossible, but they're hittable.

will it ever be available for mac?

If cry engine is ported to mac then yes, which is basically a no. You can partition your mac and run it from windows with bootcamp, i do it with a 3 year old classic specs retina 15inches and it runs fine, sometimes horribly and sometimes great, but I think when it will enter finalising phases the game will run pretty smooth.

To the devs, just some feedback: the b&e course is awesome, like AWESOME. I don't know how long i played skate on it with a friend, but it was long. Dopest course yet. The 9knight would be dope, if the air time/speed was fixed, because right now it's just ridiculous how small you go. The new park in Sialia is DOOOOOOOPE it's so damn long I love it, we love it, thank you guys it's dope. Srsly, and the rails are MUCH better than in the old park, simpler, and some more creative, just awesome. (again though, the jumps are annoying with the speed/airtime issue).

The biggest issue that should be REALLY easy to fix, that i've been ranting about for so fucking long is the shift key. We use it for prepping, speeding up the rotation and butters. CHANGE IT. and the fact that you move slightly when prepping is REALLY REALLY annoying, it's not realistic, and it's just so fucking frustrating for rails, and even for jumps. FIX IT PLEASE. Make the butter key another key (x or c i dunno, but change it). Leave the shift for prepping and speeding up rotation, but make it so that you can prep and still rotate slow if you stop pressing shift. and please please please fix the prepping slight moving from right to left, it's horrible. Also, something I mentioned like 5 updates back, why can't we lincoln prep??? this fucks with a really big numbers of tricks. And can we actually prep left/right and back/front at the same time? if not, please make it so. I know it may seem to some that prepping really isn't important, but it is. The only reason the trick physics right now is barely better/more realistic than shredsauce is because of prepping. MAKE IT WORK. PLEASE.

that's it! oh and wtf is up with all the drop ins being deleted and you have to find them to have them? I went to a bunch of them, none of them unlocked...now i'm stuck with just a few. It may not be realistic, but at this stage of the game, I would really like you to bring back flying (or at least make the drone able to fly as far a he wants and be able to set spawn points on the ground). Because what's the point of having such cool terrain in sialia if we never ride it?

Keep on working devs! The maps were awesome, can't wait for the next update

Physics are getting reworked for 0.6.1 so hopefully this will be improved. B&E should ride a little faster as well, especially the first line of jumps (hips + monster rail).

I'm not sure I understand your feedback here. Right now you prep the spin if you hold down spacebar and the direction you want to spin. Once you're in air, Shift increases your spin speed in the air, and butters you when you're on the ground. Could you clarify the issue you're having?

Consider it fixed. Not sure why it was removed, we just kept forgetting to re-enable it. We'll include it in the next update.

Drop Point unlocking broke for a bit, but now should work. Since you've been playing the game for a while, you shouldn't have trouble unlocking most of them. Just spend 30min and ride to each area and you'll unlock them. Easy!

What i think he means is that when you set the spin prior to jumping the skier moves in that direction a little (because of the buttering feature)

When you set your spin it should lock the skier from skiing any direction besides straight. Since it doesnt it screws you up when you go to jump or hit a rail.

To the developers:

My games physics seem waaay off compared to other edits I've seen while in air, unsure of why. Also when I load it up, the sky is all black. Any ideas of how to fix this would be great

Since i finally got a gaming computer and can play this game at its full potential after not playing it for the last four months, here is my opinion.

The game overall is insane. The graphics are on par, the mechanics are smooth, it's easy to perform tricks with style and the game was developed perfectly. There are a few things that in my opinion should be fixed. The music shuffle option doesn't work. It still repeats the same song every time I load in. Although I do like how there are challenges and xp in the game now, I don't like how you have to unlock the rest of the mountain. The whole point of free roam is to be free, not restricted to what you haven't unlocked. I don't even know how to unlock the mountain tbh. If anyone does I'd appreciate you telling me lmao.

Congrats to the winner of contest number 1! Participate in the next one; best park compilation launching today. Your edit can win you an exclusive pair of badass iF3 skis to ride in the game!

Glad you like it!

Small things like shuffle not working will be fixed eventually - but thanks for mentioning it, I'll have a look to see why it's not working as intended.

Unlocking the mountain isn't supposed to make the game feel closed in, it's supposed to encourage your to explore and learn the terrain. 90% of the locked drop points (the backcountry ones) are unlocked simply by riding to them, which takes a few minutes for each point The other few (heli drop) are locked by level, but we plan to change this in the future as our community gave us some good ideas for alternatives. You can learn more about how this system works here.

I have never encountered any issues but ever since the last update you rolled out i cannot run snow or snow test. The game quite literally crashes when i try to start it.
