i know you guys hate screenshots, but here are some of the mountain. we will try give more legit updates more often now. we're 3 guys trying to make a massive game, so we're super busy but are working full time to get this thing out. http://snowthegame.com/2013/05/24/mountain-work/
If that's genuinely gameplay screens I'm majorly impressed.
Also sorry I know this has been mentioned but I can't remember, is this pc only? or ps3/xbox? I remember one game similar to this being talked about for consoles.
All in-game... we can't afford to fake it with pre-rendered stuff.
The game is being developed in CryENGINE 3 so we're targeting PCs at first. With the new consoles around the corner, we're paying attention to our options there. Mac isn't supported just yet, but hopefully will be by the end of the year.
Rather than the park sticking out like a site thumb, will you guys make some normal runs, steeps, groomers, with nothing but an open space, and maybe some woods in between runs. It'll just make it feel like an actual ski area c
Parallels is better. Sadly you 'have' to pay for it, but it's so smooth. You can have mac apps and windows apps open in the same screen. It's like your mac just runs windows stuff as well...
The only problem about a macbook pro is that they're really not built for games. The integrated graphics card is shit... I've heard rumours of a hack where you can install a pci graphics card, but it would void your warranty so I haven't looked into it any further.
Performance wise bootcamp is way better and the game will perfom way better. Parallels runs two operatingsystems at the same time which uses a lot of resources and eats up the RAM. Bootcamp is much better because only 1 operatingsystem is run while you game.
If you have feedback, I recommend you head over to our forum and post something. We are a small team and can make changes easily if there's something you don't like the look of.
Noobfromdk is correct. Gaming is WAAAAYYY better on BC. Parallels and VM Ware are awesome, but take a toll on your RAM and pretty much screw your processor over *if* you don't have a multi-core chip. Which then, is still slower.
But go for it. I'm sure it will run just fine on lowest settings on Parallels. Keep in mind, Cryengine 3.......lol
look snow release the game and even if you have to update everyday we will wait for the install to load we just wanna play the game yo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
