Snoqualmie/Alpental Thread

today was fucking ridiculous. they were doing traffic management or something because they had the left lane closed supposedly, even though when we went through it was, just a cluster fuck of idiots. icy and foggy with lots of dumb fucks and huge lines. we took 3 runs got our park passes and left. at least its sunny here! im gonna go outside and play.
 
^ Yeah, I don't know what's going on with all these huge lines... Imma have to start skipping out on class to get in some weekday riding before all the crowds take over on the weekends.
 
wow thats sick. but you gotta admit, there's a lot more shitty snowboarders in the park than good ones, or shitty skiers for the matter. you always see kids that think they're badass and buy all baggy clothes and go snowboard kuz they think it makes them hellllaaaa dope, and then they just like go sit all day and are shit. you gotta admit thats the truth
 
somebody in the park pass class asked how many passes have been given out and the park guys said about 1,000. even though its much longer than steven's class, it doesn't seem to be making a difference so far. there were probably 10 little kids (under 9 years old) getting passes today when i got mine. :S
 
ya they really shud make you like do a test. the little kids should go to the progression park and west, and they should actually put some jumps over there for them to hit. kuz when i was little i loved going off jumps. snoqualmie just needs to plan things out.

ALSO ANY1 KNOW IF THEY'LL BE PUTTING MORE JUMPS IN AT CENTRAL? THEY REALLY NEED MORE THAN THOSE 2 LARGER AND 2 SMALLER ONES.

i care what they say, cause they're input is 10,000 times more relevant than yours. i know these cats, and they actually ride the pass enough to know what needs to be different. all you are saying is that snoqulamie should do exactly what they are doing, plus a silly little test which would cause no less people to come into the park.
 
hey im not sayin they don't know whats up. just why beef on sum1 when you dont even know them. maybe snoqualmie is settin up to put in more kickers- but i dont know it and i cant tell as of yet. k ya the test thing was a gay idea. but w/e my bad. aight so its chill.

The big jump line at central is sick. I'm so happy that they built the jump where you have to straight line it from the first jump to clear it. Last year was a death trap sometimes.

I wish the 2nd kicker had more pop to it though...
 
I would discourage trusting their website for park details. That thing was so wrong on so many occasions last season, especially regarding the pipe.
 
yo guys im new here. whats up! do you all ride snoqualmie? fuckin love that mountain its so great. the park at central is where its attttttt.

 
for the guy that started this post, ducking the rope will get your park pass taken and if you dont have one you will lose your ticket or pass, which park crew has the authority to take, and if you try to run and security catches you, you will be trespassed from the mountain by the sheriff. so the readers digest version of that is... dont be an idiot. 20 minutes once a year wont kill you. I WILL.
 
yeah i know, that was when there was like zero enforcement. its better now i know,

like i said when they were enforcing it, i never have seen the top park so empty,

and i got mine technically, i have my papers signed and stuff just havent gone there when their booth is open.

hahahaha ok so i was up today. pretty fun in the park.

i was coming down the landing of the first larger jump when all of a sudden i see a park crew guy running up from the landing of the second jump waving his arms telling me to stop. so of course i stopped and didn't hit the jump. he said somebody had fallen in the landing and is hurt and that he was sorry that they'd have to close the jump till they get the guy moved.... no bid deal.

the park guy goes and stands on the lip of the second jump because he didn't have his snowboard to block the lip. as im about to ski away, some stupid mexican snowboarder comes riding up the up like hes gonna hit it with the park guy standing there. the park guy starts yelling at him and waving his arms. the snowboarder keeps coming any ways and pretty much tires to go off next to the park guy (nowhere near fast enough to make the landing mind you)

the park guy grabs the snowboarder and pretty much tackles/gets dragged down the lip to the flat and starts yelling at the snowboarder. the guy has the audacity to back talk to the park guy. the park guys tells him that he could pull his pass for doing stupid shit like that. the snowboarder says he didn't know there was somebody hurt on the other side. the park guy just starts yelling at him that it was obvious that the jump was closed because he was standing on the fucking lip and told the snowboarder to get out of his site, but he just sat there. at this point i left.

i wish the park guy had pulled his pass. what a fucking idiot. use some god damn common sense! poor park guy.

ps. they were pushing snow around the park all day.
 
sorry, i know i sound like a annoying brat but i really cant find rides, and i've been having the worst luck ever and my friends havent been able to take me. my dad is in Japan for like two more weeks, so i cant get my own rides. Im trying to figure out how im gonna get to the pass this weekend, sat, sun, mon (we have school off).

if you mean the big blue wall, then it is already up. its in the lower park where the hip was last season. but it is set sideways so you hit the jump like a hip and land on the wall, which is pointed skiers left.... if that makes any sense.
 
went up today and it was really crowded (though I'm told this is common). lots of snow coming down on snoqualmie today, should make for soft skiing for the rest of the weekend. The halfpipe still isn't open yet. snoqualmie is a weird place, about 3/4 of the people there have no idea how to ski. Every 3rd snowboarder faceplants trying to get off the lift.
 
was up tonight with sushiman and friends. the wall is up and good for wallriding. they started working on the pipe it looked like. the toll bridge was closed.
