6+ feet of snow is just doom for a park no matter where and when. Having the pass closed for several days makes things soooo much harder, too. On other occasions, snoqualmie has a very pervasive need to be lacking (or lazy) and inconsistent. Jumps can be quasi decent one day, but just odd another. Likewise with rails... I mean boxes. And I have always found it amazing that they put all that money into a rather large infrastructure, such as lights, music, ground work, and most importantly, snow making, but the latter in particular is never put to use when it could be (i.e. early season). The pipe could be good. A bit steep and lacking a good drop in, but still pretty sweet on its best days. But it takes forever to open, and is only good on comp day and perhaps a couple days strung about here and there. Otherwise, its usually not cut, and overall pretty horrendous to ride. Worst of all, numerous times last season, the website would routinely say the pipe was open/cut, but in reality, it was nothing but a hacked piece of death and/or closed. Of course, the excuse I got was the zaugg was broken or the website was still being understood or not working. I love how it is never broken for photoshoots and the various board/skate comps. But whatever, thats why I don't buy a pass there, amongst other reasons.
