is guna be pretty legit this year....wasnt the greastest last year but this year with all the new stuff its guna be legit.
 
Our 2nd year and we will have 4 parks, 2 half pipes with a magic carpet ( 13ft and 22ft), 30+ new rails on top of 20 new from last year, a bowl, new wall ride, 100 ft rail. And they have some of the best snowmaking in the area now, and arent afraid to use it.

and thats straight from one of my boys who knows everything about that mtn.

why isn't salomon jib academy on their list? i talked to some kids salomons sending in, so i know its for sure. but how come they don't have it up?
 
I am stoked for Sno - but just cause they bought some rails and negotiated some events doesn't mean that they are going to deliver quality parks. They seem hugely disorganized right now.

Does it appear to anyone else that Sno seems like more skier oriented?
 
YES YES YES YES YES. and thats good...i mean ... Boulder's great and all but they are waaayyyy more snowboarder ishh....and ian wouldn't make the fog go away last night so screw that. haha i can't wait to see which mountain ends up being better. Probally Boulder just because they have it down but who knows?

In my opinion they delivered a good park last year. Not great but good. Now in its second room, with two trails making the main park, a 22 ft pipe, 13ft pipe with magic carpet, and so on, I think they will definetly make a great park. Last year in the begining of the year, they only had one good jump, but by the last month the first and last jumps in the park were both good. Spins as big as 720s didnt have to be hucked on them, and they had really nice pop.

And Sno is definelty one of the more park skier oriented places I have been to. The reason it is that way is because, Sno has two groups. The Rictor Beez, and then Me and Nick, and Wolverine and our friends. Together, we all hang Beez included and everyone is friendly. Unlike other mountains, nobody really fights, and other then the two groups, its all stupid kids that dont know how to ride park, and thats not many.
 
Also, another reason why Sno kicks ass is because they just called me and gave me an interview. They said they really liked my application and wanted a 2nd interview. Only problem was I never handed in an application. So somehow they got my number and want to give me a job, on either park crew or working in the office. Hopefullly its in the office, so much of an easier job.
 
Sno's park was not very good last tear. It had no flow what so ever. And the park crew doesn't maintain stuff that well. I also doubt they will be able to maintain everything they got this year. They had a 200 foot pipe last year and it sucked so this year they will probably have 2 shitty pipes. And it is also comprised of more than 2 crews. I'm sorry to hate but it is the truth.
 
well my crew was neither part of the rictorbeez or this other group that u speak of. And we were there like 5 times a week.
 
I was counting you guys in ours. We skied with Sean and Jordan all the time. They were their more than the rest of ya's. But all of us skied together in large groups, multiple times.
 
sno mountain is so beat right now. they hyped up this season so much n they have nothing. there's a shitty little park that is poorly set up and poorly maintained. obviously no park crew. there is almost not enough snow to ski on on spike, let alone build a decent park. and i'd love to see how they plan on getting a 22 foot pipe up. so far sno mountain is the biggest joke and i don't see it getting a whole lot better. hopefully i'm wrong. i was so stoked that they would finally be legit this year but they're clearly not putting in the effort.
 
as much as i ski at sno i have to say..

boulder kicks the shit out of sno in not just parks, but the way things are dones and maitnence.

sno may have a large stack of cash and some good events but can they pull it of.....prolly not

if they raked all the snow on the mountain currently into one pile, they couldnt do half the stuff they said they are.
 
At this point guys I would write off sno for this year, I just read a post on another forum that said that they have to blow snow 8 feet deep at the lodge to safely cover over the water park stuff.

What that means is that park will probably be last to get built and the pipe - its not even graded and there is no Zaugg scheduled to be delivered, so unless they are renting from MC or trucking a planet snow cutter in, it isn't going to happen and if it does........... it will be done just in time for spring temps to melt everything.

Please please please understand that I want Sno to try and build what boulder has so that Boulder goes even bigger. I called it a year ago and I called it in this thread 6 weeks ago.

I understand that there were no lift lines today (saturday) I mean wtf!?? this is the christmas week where everyone gets slammed and sno didn't do shit ticket wise. That is not good for the long term, not good at all.
 
well papasteez i didnt believe when you said it but now that sno is open and i see what they are providing its lame and a big joke
 
i was talking to one of the guys on the park crew and he said that to make the 22ft pipe they have to set up snow guns and blow snow in the same spot for 32 days and it will cost them 1millon dollars
 
i was at sno last night, there was lots of pow there but only the litttle gay terrain, a shit jump and some rails.
 
who did you talk to on the park crew cuz half of them dont do shit thats why everything sucks and there is loggs holding one of the boxes up
 
well the big park is finally supposed to open at sno sometime this week the latest this weekend so lets hope they got something the pretty decent , cuz so far they have nothing good
 
i was up yesterday the blew allll on friday. the big terrain run(spike) is all covered they have like 6 jumps almost made out already they said should bee ready by sat.
 
they have alot of jumps set up on spike and they were putting up a pinic table and a rainbow box when a left and it was the big one not the small one
 
well the big park should open friday or saturday deffinately even tho the warm weather killed everything it is alomst done they just need to put up the rest of the rails and it looks like we should have a half decent park HOPEFULLY

i was just there like two hours ago and then i realized it was closed, because they actually have no sno. right now, it is "no mountain". yea, basically what it is is alllll grass and a little bit of snow on flat parts.

they took out all the rails, and the only jump they had melted. sorry, i doubt they will have their "big park" open for friday. looks like big boulder and mountain creek it is for me.

and stop the hating on park crew. it's not the park crew that sucks, they are doing all they can to try and maintain. their park crew is actually a bunch of really sick kids. it's just that it's montage and it will never be good, no matter how amazing park crew is, it's neptune.
 
/\/\im not hating on the park crew if your talking to me cuz i no all of them and they are who told me that it was supposed to open friday so i was just putting up what i heard from nick and the park crew
 
sno's park crew sucks. i mean i don't expect them to be able to build huge tables and a halfpipe with their shovels but they could at least make sure the kickers onto rails are shaped nice and they could fill in the bomb holes on the landings of the rails. there's a lot more they could be doing to help the situation.
 
the big park finally opened last thursday its ok and only ok they have about 10-15 rails and about six jumps, and a double. really couldnt find a good line at all though and the lips for the rails are they only thing that the park crew maintains but only when they feel like it(not hating on the park crew though) but the jumps are very very poorly maintained. the jib academy shouldnt even show up though if this is all that they can provide. and ill try to take pics one of these days when i go up
 
wow i just heard they plan on having a slopestyle the 26th of january i dont really no how they plan on having a slopestyle with no good lines to hit and poorly maintained jumps but hey whatever floats there boat
 
the line everyone took last year at the comp was hitting the first jump then everyone hit one of 3 rails and finally they sat on there tails for the other half of the park for the last jump..was so lame

at least this year though you can hit all the jumps and a few rails in a line but its quite shitty if you ask me
 
to blow a super pipe you need aproximitly 350 hours of blow time (about 2 weeks strait) but first you need a cutter, and like papa said unless they are trucking a planet snow one in they aint got it yet. now trust me if they did i would be the first one up there all i want is an open SP in the region but they aint got it, i wish they did though. if they did boulder would get one sooner and with boulders snowmaking ability they could get a sp open by xmas if boulder tried.

any way i hope somebody gets a good pipe open soon i am so sick of rails.
 
Last Night Sno was shit, they had lots of powder but the terrain was horrible. You stuck so bad getting off the lift. The Rails were icy as balls, you would stick right to them. The first 2 jumps were ok. The last Two Doubles were horrible. In front of the first double, the were like divets and mogules in front of it? it was horrible. you couldn't find a line through out the whole night. The park has no flow what so ever.
 
on friday at sno their was a box in between the rainbow and the battleship rail and then me and my friend told the park crew guy to fix the lip aand i didnt need alot of work so then they decided to take the lip down and it was never as good b/c the mad it an up box and then to kids made a lip to it and it was better than theres
 
sno is having there 2nd annual slopestyle comp. its on sunday. cant wait too see what thats like. i was just on the site suppsebly they have all new jumos and jibs up. they said the 13 ft pipe is almost done too.well when i go up friday,i will see if ther not bullshitting like they always doo.
 
well sno's park is getting better as the days go on.. still not top notch but its getting better they keep adding new rails everyday and they are pretty legit got no word on any on the pipes though but ill keep posting
 
well the comp is tomorrow and i saw a smal potion of the set up they however are having the comp on a different slope from where the big park is and the comp will feature a stair set with urban rails and ton more rails dont no what kinds however and i heard a 35 footer and thats is all i no of because could see anything else or didnt here anything else but as to the big park tonight i dont know what the hell they are doing to it it had huge mounds of snow everywhere pretty much for no reason and they did finally start the pipe
 
fyi, I have it on first hand knowledge directly from one of the owners at Snö that they indeed have purchased a 22' Zaugg and it's already on the east coast! not sure when they will have it on the hill to begin cutting but put the rumors to bed - they definitely are going to have a 22' pipe!

last Saturday they were close to having enough snow piled up to begin cutting.

my understanding is that they didn't dig it because Planet Snow Tools likes it better free form.

i'll be back there this coming Sunday & Monday - will be interested in seeing how far along they are.

if anyone is interested, you can ski or ride on Monday 2/4 at Snö for only $15 if you purchase a Customer Appreciation Day voucher in advance from one of Buckman's Ski & Snowboard Shops locations in PA (King of Prussia, Ardmore, Montgomeryville, Doylestown, West Lawn). Only catch is you must visit one of the stores to purchase the voucher. They are not available online.
 
well i've been there almost every day the last two weeks and i must say i dont think they have nearly enough snow for either pipe .. for last years we thought they had enough at one point but the continued to still blow for a week straight and now i think it is at that point last year where we thought they would have enough snow but i dont think they do but they should both be legit when they are done.
