SLVSH

Watching some old games, are the new games really that much longer? I mean sure some are, but it seems like they have a lot more footage in each video of talking, decisions, stuff happening in the background, etc. Even though each little clip only adds a few extra seconds, they add up. I'm not complaining, I think it's better.

I've noticed this too. Especially with the super high level games, a break between each trick is kinda nice.

Maybe an unpopular comment, but why is there so much complaining in the comments about the reffing?

You really need someone to answer this? We want to see games where there are no obvious missed calls or apparant biases towards players. When this doesn't happen then there will obviously be complaints like in absolutely any sport ever. If you can watch a game like the Moffat/Bilous game and have no reaction to the reffing then you clearly are not very into Slvsh or don't know skiing well enough to realize the mistakes.

Pretty awesome watching Colby put out a full BC jump edit a few weeks ago, and then come out with a win against some of the most technical rail skiers in the world.

Man what a cup. How come there were only 13 skiers at the end? I didn't see Birk, Oscar, or Jesper.

They probably had other commitments or opportunity for other competitions to attend to in different countries.

Colby's last trick was straight fucked. I definitely re-watched that like 10 times.

Stoked he won. Definitely deserved it. Dude skied like an animal the whole cup!

It’s so insane how good Colby, ahall and Quinn are at skiing. And it’s crazy to think that they’re not even close to peaking yet. Park city produces some insane talent man.

Could be fun to have a swiss format for a tournament, 5 rounds(?), everybody play eachother, the one with the highest score after 5 rounds win. If score is tie we have playoffs/sudden death games. Would probably be a much longer and comprehensive tournament, but team slvsh got a lot of expirence and expertise now so they could pull it off :D

Colby's last trick (cork 630-stale off, I think) is literally a trick I do on Shredsauce and think "well theres no way THATS actually possible"

Posted in another thread and might be a repost on here but jusy curious why the refs cant see a replay on a phone or tablet? Those tiny screens are hard to make a tough call on but a phone would be a lot easier or even a tablet. I bet most the filmers already have the app

We watch on the gopro in slow mo. But unfortunately the new gopros only go 1/4 speed compared to the older versions go 1/8 speed.. Next year Im going to bring monitors the refs can plug the cameras into to have a better replay. But the more me get into it the longer it takes and the harder it may be to finish a game before the lifts close.

Right. And with such a way to review the ref will still need to make a tough call one way or the other and no matter what they do someone on the internet will say they made the wrong call.

And Dean who's never done a backswap on a dfd, but he's completely comfortable doing sw dubs 12s and 14s lmao

Good game tho, I guess Mac is just a bit better on the rails

Gopros can just connect to phone tho

Really liked the jump heavy game. The 3 to 9 is an insane trick. Also the dub 7's were barely dubs, but whatever.

Shows you how much some people "specialize" and will only hit jumps or rails. I could back swap a dfd in my sleep but couldn't spin a 3 on a big jump to save my life.
