SLVSH

Are you guys really calling someone out for not wanting to huck an unnatty dub 10? I cannot believe how many hypocrites there are in this thread.

In the first round Laker calls a natural dub 10 japan and Jossi doesn't even attempt it. In that situation you guys were literally calling Laker out for "picking lame dubs". Now in the exact opposite situation you guys are now calling Laker out for not wanting to try a new trick in super flat light conditions.

Haters gonna hate.

I think this is the same situation as maybe russ? or someone else from the slvsh cup where they definitely could unnat dub 12 but didnt try dub 10. I'd guess that they learn 12 and cant stop? Maybe laker can chime in, if professional skier doesn't try a trick they probably aren't comfortable with it and don't wanna risk an entire ski season likely if they got hurt over one letter in a slvsh game. nah mean?

im with eheath on this. even if youve thrown it before, unnatty dubs are no joke. i sure as hell wouldn't roll the dice for a slvsh letter

As one of the people who was calling Laker out for "picking lame dubs", I have no issue with him not wanting to huck an unnatty dub 10. My whole argument was that one skier throwing big risky tricks that the other skier isn't comfortable with is kinda unsportsmanlike. You're asking the other competitor to take a big risk just to stay in the game and it kinda takes the fun out of it.

However, you could totally undermine this argument by watching the Russ/Evan game where they just go balls to the wall trying ridiculously risky rail tricks.

Unsportsman like? SLVSH is the most sportsman like competition there is. It's all friendly, everyone is so stoked on everything, it pushes progression and forces you to go out of your comfort zone.

I agree, SLVSH is the most sportsmanlike competition out there. I was saying that forcing others to do really risky tricks to stay in the game is unsportsmanlike. I'm done arguing with people now, and I'm especially not going to get into it with you. It's becoming very apparent that I must be wrong, so I will accept that and move on.

I've done Right Dub 12, I wouldn't send the 10 unless I was really feeling it... and I would not have done it on that day in that light. I do not blame laker at all.

Also, Evan spins off jumps naturally left. For whatever reason he naturally spins forward right onto rails, but that is his only difference. When he says Right Dub 10, it's his unnatural direction. The fact he stomped his first dub 9 in those conditions amazes me, and rode away from the superman cork 3 O.o - Guy is a cat.

We will do more of these and we are going to switch up the terrain, players and styles. Stay tuned.

Maybe Evan should be in it to return as champion and defend his crown?

I like this idea. If they're going with slopestyle guys again I would pay to see a Gus Kenworthy vs. Nick Goepper grudge match.

Could also be an age thing, how old is Evan? 19? At that age he's not thinking about getting hurt nearly as much as some one who is older. Not sure how old laker is, but I think he may be older and wiser about hucking tricks.

Also, landing switch from big spins always seems easier. I'm no pro, but something tells me a dub 12 easier than a dub 10

I do think a game with some pipe skiers would be good, I think Wise and Torin would be really intense. I think it would be interesting though to get a game going with skiers who are really versatile between rails, jumps, and pipe. Not saying Wise is not good at park, because I've seen him through ridiculous dubs on park jumps too, just not so sure if his rail game would follow Torin if they were to dip in and out of the pipe.

I think a game with skiers who are proven both in park and pipe like Torin, Jossi, Joss, Gus, Christian Allen, Taylor Seaton, etc. would be cool because we could get a lot more variety in the games.

Came here to post this to try and avoid confusion.. sorry for being confusing with my spin directions hahaha.

HUGE shoutout to Joss and Walker for making this happen! Such a sick way to change up how we usually see "contest" skiing.. Very good times

I hate to be that guy, but does anyone know what pants Laker has been wearing during the different games? North Face I presume, but if anyone knows the specifics, that'd be dope...

Ask them to see if you can come back to defend the title. Love to see you go up against Bobby Brown or Gus. Either way it would be dope just to bring you back.

Why did Woodsy not have to do a naked (park) lap? I thought that was always the case when you get zero points in such games??

I don't think that's ever been the case in a slvsh game

Wow. An SJW post I actually like. Congrats

Niklas Larsson Zakrisson looks like the most stoked man alive. That last trick by Boberg though was insane, never seen it done before.

Yeah kid is stoked, it was a sick game all round.

I replayed Boberg's switch "no-grab" 9... it's a switch dub 9 and looks super sick.

I'm gonna go ahead and say the game between Kim and Niklas is the best yet. So many sick tricks, many that I haven't seen. Nicholas's unat bio 7, Kim's switch dub 9. Gonna rewatch for sure.

Yeah damn, there were a lot of different/unique tricks. they killed it on the jump

Was about to message asking if you've seen it lol.

LOL@the guy who said he doesn't know Kim. One of the few hipster skiiers I can fuck with.

kim is an animal! stoked he won. i didn't really like jacob as the ref though, i thought he called off way too many tricks

If you're gonna call very specific taps, grabs, rotations, shifties...you better have someone ready to call your shit when you don't do a double shifty.

Great job jacob, that was sick
