Well I think we can all agree the Evan/Russ game should have been the final, but a game is a game so the bracket calls the shots. I just don't think the Laker/Evan game (being a final) will even compare to some of the others

I know this is late but I still think TW is better than Evan. You could here TW's frustration when he didn't land the tricks he knew he could land. Plus Evan had the rock paper scissors advantage. Evan might not be able to zero spin but at least he do any trick with zero style.

style is extremely subjective. meaning that everybody has style no matter what their doing. a 4 year old learning how to ride a bike has style, sure, they're probably not listening to fucking rick ross and wearing jiberish but that's them and their unique, nobody else can replicate the way that they did it that one time. same goes with anything that happens on skis.
honestly i think that evans style is out of this world. everything he lands he does it with such confidence and consistency that can't be matched.

I don't necessarily love watching Evan ski, but you'd have to be halfway mentally incapacitated to not realize how good he is at skiing. His consistency and awareness is unreal. If you can't appreciate that he's good at skiing, even if you don't like to watch him, you're being ignorant to skiing as a whole.

You can not be a fan of his style, but to say he doesn't have any is ridiculous. He does throw his tricks differently than other guys and you would be able to pick out his silhouette in a group of park skiers. Personally I like how hard he tweaks his mute grabs and how loose he keeps his feet when he scissors on rails. If you don't that's cool, he spins a lot and that might not be your thing.
I also find it interesting how much people love Laker's style now, he used to get shit on all the time a few years ago. Evan will keep developing too, he's still a teenager.

^this argument hurts to look at. This thread isn't about Evan Mc---eck--ren's solo film project with slow mo dubstep jump seggys and a redbull budget, it's about people having one try to do dumb hard and scary tricks that they may or may not have ever tried. Say what you want about anybody's style, and it's still unreal that these guys can do this shit. I'm blown away by that Russ and Evan game from a pure skill level. And, Evan's cork 450s or 630's whatever off the hip/qp takeoff jump and out of the cannon rail were fucking fresh. Some of his jump tricks looked pretty sick too, even if the rail ballet looked like shit (it basically always does except when like 2 people ever have done it) it was still crazy to see that shit go down first try over and over again.
slvsh is great and there's room for dudes like evan if there's also room for the mass of other people with unique tricks and styles too. look forward to these games more than any other ski media damn near.

Off course there is no actual way to test this. So I am just going to leave you with this. When Evan was just a regular newschooler, the majority of the comments on his videos where about how stylish he was. Now what has changed... His style or his fame???

My friend is a huge fan of trashparty and hot possie. Hates on anything that isn't VX. I personally think that he's ignorant as hell by trying too hard to be a non-conformist. Hating on style turns our ski community into a high school clique-fest. It's great to have your opinion on style but anyone who is an exclusivist bitch about it needs to quit skiing.
