SLVSH

Jossi was being Jossi, pretty mellow. He's always been about having fun first. Here in NZ some nutsacks in the media castrated him for his zero spin olympics performance and just missing out on bronze in the half pipe but he was just stoked to be there. You gotta understand he is ridiculously talented, of course he wanted to win but he wants to enjoy himself at the same time and that to me is ultimate respect.

Thats why all the whole industry respects him so much, he won it all and was on top of the comp game back in 2010 but has kept skiing fun

...in chess maybe. Not saying it's no impossible, but to say that there's 'no way' that Tom will win, makes you sound stupid

I think you'd have to actually be stupider to think Tom has no chance, becasue its pretty obvious he does. Having "no chance" Is just a saying....but who cares he'll still lose.

In the Russ V Evan game they were calling natural and unnatural tricks most the game, then Evan calls a R dub 10 which is natural for him and Unnatural for Russ... Is this fair?

i noticed that too. russ didn't have a problem with the dub 10 so it didn't really matter

Evan did the switch left 7 double tail and the left dub 10 mute to lead japan... It went both ways so I think it was fair.

When's the Wally insta-Bangor dropping because ever since I commented my trick I can't sleep and need to watch it!!!

you're the one that said he has no chance at winning... and you just said 'stupider'..case and point you're retarded

Evan spins left naturally, he's really really good at spinning both ways though and usually spins right onto rails.

The fate of the tom vs evan game was really sealed with who won the rock paper scissors

that being said, I was surprised how consistenly tom missed his sets

Finals will be interesting, but evan is a machine. I pity joss or laker going up against him

I don't think it really was decided by the coin toss, Tom missed tricks you'd probably expect him to get normally, both sets and replies... so he lost. He stomped some things as perfectly as they could possibly be done too though!

I think it's gonna be Evan vs Joss in the finals with Evan coming out on top. He's got every trick.

Agreed, after watching him dismantle Tom, His bag of tricks is deep and consistency is even better.

I think it messed with his game mentally because he started off on the back foot, evidenced by the fact that he was missing tricks we would expect him to get

I would really just like to see them play the game again with tom having first set, because i'm almost sure it would swing the other way. I think evan and tom are probably equally talented in a game of skate in the park, just the time date and luck worked in evan's favour this time, that's not to say he didn't deserve the win he 100% did

i dunno why jossi couldnt dub 10, he does dub 12s all the time...

He definitely just wanted to fuck around and have a zero spin in the game at some point and probably figured if he's gonna get a letter it might as well be on a harder trick.

Tom just seemed off, which is unfortunate because that could have been a really good game. It just goes to show you, anyone can have a bad day. That being said, Evan is going to be tough to beat.

On Wally's sets he should of picked some easier warm up tricks before going to the more tech ones. As soon as he was up he called the most absurd and difficult tricks, never got into rhythm lol. Meanwhile Evan picked like 5 stock tricks in a row before going to the more difficult ones.

Am I the only one who didn't know who Evan mceachran was before this? Like where did this guy come from the dudes a machine

Straight outta Oakville Ontario, remember him doing 2 pretz 4 at the blue mountain hike park when he was like 12, tried a kangaroo flip when he was 13. Won AFP Championship at WSI last year. Got invited to X-games this year and made finals.

tom's loss pretty much sums up why i have so much skier respect for the dudes who play this game. you can be absolutely dirt nasty but sometimes things just dont go how you want on your first try. that shit is infuriating in real life, i cant imagine being a in a contest for it

Off day for tom but props to Evan. Its cool how stoked he was to play Tom. Prob the same reaction i would have had. Also liked how when tom got the revenge on the switch 3 while flailing he thought that he shouldnt get it.

Evan is going nuts, seemed like a wallisch had an off day though, also pretty cool how at the end Evan said that Wallisch was his idol, think it's going to be Evan vs Christensen at the end though

is evan on some sort of skiing steroid? Somebody TEST THAT KID

unreal how consistent he is, I have a feeling he's about to dominate the comp scene

The Rochambeau definitely played into that game. That being said, it's obvious Wallisch was just having an off day.

Still the King

people are complimenting his style?

In my eyes he has a jock style, similar to goepper. Evan seems cool and everything and has a super bright future in the sport but I can't stand watching him ski. Same old comp style you see out of all the elite skiers. He's good as fuck at skiing, but his style..not a fan, bring on the downvotes.

if wallisch had a set, he would have crushed. his set tricks were heavy he just bailed.

was also super stoked on his final props and just how stoked he was to play his idol. any kid would be so nervous to play their idol and the kid held it together. many a contest results are gonna come his way.

In the jossi vs laker game, laker got to set after getting SLV(judge citing trivia crack rules). In the TWall vs Evan game they didn't do that. Does the trivia crack thing only apply when the person with three letters has not got the chance to set?

yea. it's to prevent people from losing without even having a chance to set

If Lakers switch "dub" 9 counted then Joss's switch dub 12 should have counted. There was no dub in Laker's 9.

Also Joss's switch bio 9 was awesome.

Laker winning on calling big jump tricks again. Dunno if that's going to work against Evan.

Actually happy with the result since now we get to see Joss/Tom match which might be one of the best ever.
