SLVSH

Hey guys and gals, in regards to ripping the videos and posting them on NS, YouTube etc. Hosting these games on our website is how we get money to make more games. We love NS but it doesn't help us when they're hosted here. If you guys want these games to continue and expand into bigger and better games and tournaments, please dont rip the games and post them elsewhere. We have big plans for this and want it to continue. Thanks.

Fuck I was gonna watch the torin and aiden game at school on ns because vimeo is blocked :^(

You have the resourcefulness of a bee, desperately trying to escape the pollen-less confines of an interior space through a closed window until you fall and die of exhaustion.

You can set privacy mode to "Hide this video from Vimeo.com" so video cannot be watched on vimeo directly. But when you embed it, it will be playable.

They already do this, the kid who posted it probably looked into the code and found the video and downloaded it. Seems pretty clear if slvsh doesn't make the video downloadable, you probably shouldn't download it and post it on NS.

no they don't, i can see their videos on their vimeo channel and can play them directly on vimeo.

i understand that they don't make video downloadable and kids just rip it with somtheing like "replay media catcher" or "videocacheviewer" I only suggest how to make more traffic to their site by blocking playing videos on vimeo through privacy settings which allows only embeded playing.

that was super sick

ref was my favorite yet as well, positive and active in the video. although i would've given torin the 2 out of the s box

Okay, just wondering, thanks.

100% false

Show me the link? I tried to find it via vimeo and put the raw link in and nothing came up.

Sunday SLVSH is definitely something I can live with.

Hot damn. So sick. But now what do I do Monday night instead of waiting for the release?

I think they'll still be a Tuesday release

Also, is a dub tail -> trucker (2x double grab) a quadruple grab?

what is the slush average? doesnt really make any sense.

It's just how many letters you get at the end. It's out of 1000 for both players

So if one guy gets 0 letters he'll get 1000 and the loser 0. If the winner gets 4 letters and the loser 5 he'll get 5/9 of the points so 5/9 * 1000. Pretty much you get a percentage of the total letters dished out in the game out of 1000.

Sorry if I'm bad at explaining math but hopefully someone will understand.

Using this last games with Woodsy for an example: James gave Evan 3 letters, Evan gave James 5 letters so there was 8 total letters dished out.

James would be awarded 3/8 of the points, Evan 5/8. Then it's just multiplied by 1000.

Correct me if I'm wrong slvsh dudes

James currently has a higher score than evan.

Yeah I think they just fucked up on that one. The rest of the games scores played out the way I described

woodsy's played another game since, perhaps they're including that

Slvsh is so fucking good, I legitimately get excited for Tuesdays. Thanks for the early release!! I was reeling after the teaser pump fakes of weeks gone by, so this was fucking cool. Keep it up Stony Bill, these are tits.

Finally got a chance to catch up on the last few games of SLVSH (now that it works with Firefox!). Aurdal vs. Berg, what the fuck? I need to get better at skiing.

We tried a new game/ style of a course preview today during the first Dew Tour practice. We are calling it ZERO. The goal of the game is to spin as much as you can both ways and try to get your total net rotations to equal 0. Example: You have two jumps and one down rail, you spin a left 900 then a right 900 on the jumps and you do a 270 pretz 270 on the rail. Net rotations=0. Next skier does a left 1080 to a right 1080 and a 270 pretz 270 as well. He spun more so forth he wins.

Check it out.

I'm guessing the last trick is what happens when Joss sets a switch dub 9 and decides not to do another cork/flip.

That was pretty cool to watch, although I don't get why Walker didn't just straight air or zero the last jump to keep his score at 0.

Besides that, I can imagine it being easier to go 2nd than 1st, cause if the first rider does not end with zero points, you could just straight air the whole course and win, and if the first rider does end with zero you know exactly what it takes to defeat his run.

Also what happens when both riders get 0 with the same amount of spins? Is it going to be another run?

I really like the idea and the video was sick, but it needs to be worked out a little more maybe.

If it's just a spin on a course preview I couldn't be happier with it.

Normally course previews consist of a future-spinner pointing a go pro at himself, showing less of the course than a chinese-made painting of Aspen in the 19th century.

I think both riders should go in blind, not knowing the other riders score and amount of total rotations. That way you can avoid X skier totally 180 then Y skier just straight airing everything.

Exactly this is a fucking sick way to do a course preview.

It is really hard to do math while skiing slope courses hahah. That was not what I planned for a run. Was kinda doing rail tricks on the fly after messing up that first one.

With that said, we got a really good idea from Bellemare today. Both skiers spin both directions as much as they can. How far off zero they end at, we subtract from their score. Whoever spun the most wins. We are gonna keep messing with it, we also have a few other ideas to mix up course previews, so stay tuned.
