SLVSH

Why did Quinn skip Hunter's last call?

great game tho, my bracket is still 100% hope Vinnie wins next one it would be so dope to watch him vs Quinn

It would be fun to watch a game where grab calls aren't allowed so the riders just have to do weird and crazy tricks.

QUAN. I’ve got him taking the whole thing. Such a sick game to watch! That second switch cork 3 from Quinn was so smooth. Also, that camera angle on Hunter’s Tokyo slide was fire.

That being said, was anyone else distracted as hell the whole time by Hunter smashing his nostrils?

Played the vinny cash instabanger on youtube via the xbox app and the auto play did the only other 2 older instabangers and then autoplayed into games. Every single game thats auto played has been a quinn game except for the will wesson LJ game with the blades. Seems like a conspiracy! Also how many games has quinn played?! A thousand??

Grab calls basically already don't matter with some of the refs...

bruh why was hunter so salty

I would not call any of that salty, he likely wanted to avoid any possibility of injury.

If you want drama go to the tabloid section of the grocery store

bettttt, why go to the slvsh cup if you're worried about injuries?

He didn't even try a 180 into the tranny...

Game was a low key heater. Vinnie’s 5 mute on his first set was so dope, and Siver’s B8 shifty was gangster as fuck. Really wish we could see a Siver vs Quinn final but Vinnie won it legit and played great defense.

Why go anywhere if you're worried about injuries? Not really an argument IMO hunter was just in the xgames (slvsh cup was b4 x) and he was probably thinking "I have the opportunity of a lifetime next week, ima pass on this trick"

fair

If siver would’ve called a couple more tricks on that elbow rail and kept the ball in his court I think he would’ve had that game.. vinny had some good defense on those future spins tho, can’t blame siver on not getting some of those unicorn grabs vinny calls

might be unpopular but I don't really enjoy watching games with Vinnie in them. He got three letters on Siver on uninteresting grab variations that weren't exciting to watch play out.

Agreed, vinny's a G but damn.

Was going to post this exact thought. I love the guy but, in most games, he just sort of holds on by a thread to then play his wacky grab cards when he needs to. I wish Siver would have gone for the kill before that predictable end.

I dunno man, it's not like he is spamming weird grabs, he only called 2 tricks with what is arguably a "wacky" grab: venom and mutant and both on low rotations, so I think he gave Siver a fair shot at getting those tricks, it didn't seem unfair to me.

I like it. I would honestly be more upset if vinny wasnt doing his insane grabs because it would seem like hes not trying to win.

Yep. He called 2 unique grabs that I personally wouldnt call crazy tech. Nothing over 540. I feel like those calls are within everyones skill set, especially on nothing bigger than a 5. Im a huge fan of vinny, and his unique and very relaxed approach to skiing. H'es out there to have fun. Well deserved win with some great defense.

Honestly what the fuck is wrong with people hating on obscure grabs? You know who wins games of skate? Guys who pull weird late back foot flips. If you want to win at slvsh get good at weird grabs. If it's unfair then slvsh should make rules about it, but that's just dumb. Only weird thing was the pre-cuban 180. Maybe there should be rules for that stuff. But what do I know.

Also, I never saw any hate when Henri pulled a goalie slide as the last trick against Elias a few years back. Not the slvsh cup, but still. Same idea, even harder/more obscure.

Also, just going to edit in that most of you guys aren't hating on him too hard in this thread. The YouTube comments are more harsh though

Facts. Sierra is my home mountain and the whole week that elbow to down was sooo sticky. After they left it was fine tho.

Actually all the rails were sticky. You could hear it too. The gap to down rail is so big in real life by the way

The game could have gone either way, Vinnie has some crazy grabs not many people can do and siver has insane swap and rail tricks very few could land. Really it could have gone either way.

Posting this before I watch Siver vs Hunter - Interested to see how this goes down. They both are kind of opposites in my mind, Hunter is a beast on jumps and Siver is a rail god. Curious what sort of tricks they will call

Siver might be competitive in the way that if homies are going big, he will be pushed to go big. But he is in no way competitive like a Hunter or Vinnie or AHall for that matter where they are willing to do the same safety trick variation that they know the competitor cannot land.

At first I was also convinced that pole tap 9 was missed but went back and frame by frame it's so close and pixelated, if ref and filmer heard it then I believe it.

Siver never even got to call a trick on the elbow :’(

either way the judging was super loose both ways, in a bad way

I appreciated that Siver's upright 7 didn't get called as a cork though, but some other calls were wack

I've never seen anyone but Hunter call a pole tap trick. It's not like its super creative either, I mean the first time was okay but I think he called 3 pole taps that game, not including the other games this cup. Guess Siver was tired of doing them, too.

Wanted to see more rail tech from siver on the elbow too but whatevs

It’s bizarre how inconsistent what a “cork” is. I guess they’re all too corked to care.
