Compound exercises...squats, dead lifts, over head military press, bench, rows, chin ups/pull ups, dips, lunges, leg press, and lots of core exercises. You want a well rounded body, I would generally avoid isolation exercises like bicep curls and tri work outs (with some exceptions)
I would do lighter weights rather than heavy weight for endurance rather than bulk strength or you could switch it up (ie light weights for a couple of weeks then one week heavy weights and then couple weeks light weights...just try to vary your plan).
I would also be doing a bunch of cardio: sprints, swimming, endurance running, cycling, trampoline.
If I had to choose to do only one exercise for the rest of my life it would be SQUATS. Squats rape your body working so many muscles at once pending proper form.
