Skiing under the influence

Ski really crappy when I'm high. I can't spin more than 90 but I'm a light weight and can't really do anything but walk and get down the mountain. I actually feel like I have more stability on my skis than on my feet when I'm high. Haven't skied drunk yet.

Meh i dont really notice a differene that much when im skiing. Any sport when im drunk or high makes me feel less so

If I smoke a little bit it gets rid of all my fears and i still have perfect motor skills but if i smoke a lot i turn into a pussy

if you can land a trick drunk you sure as hell can land it sober. learn a trick drunk then stomp it sober

I skied once after a large beer and a few shots, was definitely an experience which I know I'll never repeat. Also very irresponsible and dangerous.

le spliff on le chairlift is nice :) Gets you overconfident first, and then you realise you can't even land a 180 on flat...

Otherwise known as every day.

Honestly I get wailed pretty regularly with my friends while skiing. Shotskis are just too much fun what can I say?

I must say I do go bigger/faster after a few. I just give so much fewer fucks, will put in headphones, jam out and just rip haha

Anyone who thinks it's cool to get drunk and ski is a fucking moron who shouldn't be allowed on the mountain.

Or you're the moron for generalizing.. if people want to have a great time and drink who are you to call them a moron? You know it is possible to drink and not be a douche?

No. It's like drinking and driving. It may be fun, but you don't do it because it's dangerous for those around you. If you think it's funny to put people in danger, you're a fucking moron who shouldn't be allowed on the mountain.

I've only put my self in danger but thanks for trying. I like the misconception that just because somebody is drunk they're reckless and dangerous to the world.

YOLO

I definitely just keep Coors in my pocket. I haven't smoked and skied before. That will change soon.

I do love how cold the beer is though, it's dericious.

Shit never knew Timmy wallnuts could swear my mind is blown.

As another dude said depends how much you smoke sometimes a little can make everything that much smother and confident and then too much I feel like I dont know whats going on and im watching someone else ski. drunk skiing is always fucking fun dont really ever see it as dangerous just fun. doing dumb shit.

It's not a misconception, dumbass. If you combine legitimate drunkness, speed, and other people, it's going to be a dangerous situation. Don't be an idiot and pretend otherwise.

Keep smoking. At a certain point that won't happen anymore. It'll just be standard burnt but you won't get crazy fucked up.

Like any other sport, can't excel if intoxicated! I will have the random beer or 2 while being social during lunch with friends . 90% of my riding is steeps and trees. Don't like to mess with my safety, reaction time . I do love to smoke some weed whole skiing though. When I do, I'll taper down the difficulty level of tight trees though . And for total adrenaline rush, a good blaze up and Mach whatever on groomers is my way to mellow down while being in my safe zone! To all others: be wise And ski within your ability while indulging! We can all have fun !

Herp Derp

Some people are crazy reckless some people aren't. People might get rowdy and out of control when they get drunk, but if they were safe to begin with they won't be that bad. If they're a hazard at the start it probably won't end well.

Don't be an idiot and... well shit you're already an idiot bro. sucks to be you.

Have a beer brah

no, i just don't think it's safe to ski drunk. the same way i don't think it's safe to drive drunk.

It has nothing to do with that, you moron. Alcohol is a depressant. It slows reaction time, decreases balance, impairs vision, etc. A cautious person isn't going to be able to resist the effect alcohol has on their reaction time and balance when they hit a patch of ice or have to swerve suddenly to avoid someone or stop quickly.

of course not, but the comparison is still valid. Both involve high speeds, obstacles outside your control, and being in close proximity with other people.

Do you all think when I say "drunk" i mean one or two beers or something? I don't know how so many of you can be arguing that skiing while legitimately drunk is safe.

" Alcohol is a depressant. It slows reaction time, decreases balance, impairs vision, etc"

No shit broski

Even if I'm unable to stand wasted I'm still better than everyone raging the green slopes. Lets ban the beginners! They might not be able to stop.

Instead I'll, spend a few bucks at the bar, which will probably cause me to spend money on food I generally wouldn't buy there, and then have a nice day on the slopes. Just because somebody is drinking, doesn't mean they're dangerous.

I wouldn't crash into you if you got off the knuckles and backsides of rollers. Survival of the fittest brah.

No, but it doesn't make them safe, either.

There's a reason different trails have different difficulty ratings. You know when you go on a green that there will likely be people learning to ski who aren't going very fast and may not be able to stop. You plan accordingly, and the mountain stays safe

There's a TGR flick called Under The Influence. Just happened to be watching it. It's dope too.

at the end: "A sick name. I'm stoked. Under the influence. It's a good explanation, you know. A nice name."

Not really self-evident from what or whom... sex, money, snow.. some type stoke... it's all the same result.. just different paths and costs to get it.
