I think it was a publicity stunt. It gave him the perfect opportunity for the long heartfelt apology that he gave. Hearts melted. His stock rose. Publicist gets paid.

I'd be very surprised if that was the case.

That whole thing made him look like a fool and really undermined his brand.

Ive lost a lot of respect for ahmet dadali because he'd constantly complain about competitions but he entered real ski, not saying i dont support real ski i just think its hypocritical

Seriously? He hates on competition FORMATS that don't allow/don't reward creativity, uniqueness, progression, innovation. You know, freeskiing...

Real ski is exactly the type of comp he SHOULD enter. I think it would be hypocritical if he didn't.

wrong... the answer is style. that's the correct answer.

competition formats reward creativity, uniqueness, progression, innovation. fuck man if someone did a quad I'm guessing they might win it? Because it's never been done before? Innovation is and should be rewarded in the competition scene. lots of ppl think style should outweigh that but it never will.

Hmmm, Vincets cork 3 pretzel 1 wasn't progressive? His dub bio genie was progressive? Nose butter triple wasn't progressive? Jossi wells gold run wasn't creative and progressive? He didn't even have a triple and won gold. Bellemares gold at Pyeongchang wasn't stylish? Again, didn't have a triple. Seriously no comp skier hates on film skiers doing the exact same cork 7 blunt (seriously every fucking video had them) but for some reason every film skier hates on comp skiing.

I think him coming out was awesome. The freeskiing community can be kinda homophobic sometimes, like with "that was gay" or whatever. I think we needed a gay pro. But when I read about that photoshopping his insta thing, that pissed me off. That is the most selfish, dishonest, and outright fucking dicky thing he could do. He is a very talented skier. He does not need to do that. Lying to your fans is horrible for them and you. They lost trust for him, and he lost fans. And to do that in the freeskiing? You might as well use autotune. So I have lost all respect for him.
