I think that in a few years everyone will have realized that the thug look is out. People will look back on it and ask, 'what the fuck was I thinking?' The baggy clothes has already been done by the snowboarders and many pro's. If you want to be original, than think up your own idea, and dont just copy some pro's outfit. Besides, last time I checked I didnt see to many skiers toating Glocks around the hill. I only have respect for the people that make use of their puffy clothes by hiding an AK-47 in there...because if you dont then they will probably shoot your ass. I guess if the puffy clothes add to your flair, then keep on keepin on.

everyone follows someone's trend. whether it be wearing specific types of clothes or listening to specific types of music or speaking certain words, you are still doing something that someone else has already done. no one on here is original in any way, so basically we are arguing because some people like to follow one set of values, where others like to follow a different set.

it's kinda like countries that go to war for religious differences, basically everyone is fighting for something that is completely pointless because in the grand scheme of life we are all going to die the same and nothing you do will change that.

well to put that thought into this argument, people are going to wear what they like to wear, act how they want to act, talk how they want to talk, and basically live how they want to live. it's fine to have a problem with that, but just remember someone else out there most likely has a problem with the way you do your thing, so maybe if everyone just kept their mouth's shut, then everyone would be a little bit happier.

^ yes, good point there prob one of the more educated posts on this thread. But I think the bigger argument is simply why? and how? How does a rich ski resort breed that type of attitude and culture? Why do these skiers choose to act these ways? It just the fact that they ARE that way to begin with or they are trying to incorporate it into their style....thats kinda what im all confused about. Plus I think switchin-dirty has a point to some extent that it seems like A LOT of kids are just adopting that type of style, just to look good ridin and fit in-baggy clothes, arms low,- typical t hall style, when they could be creating their own style through their own personality. But yea i mean that would suck if everyone just started to adopt that style but i doubt that will actually happen. I'm sure we will see plenty of new 'popular' styles being created like 'monkey steez' in the future. Besides, im sure snowboarding went through this stage back in the day also......

It's not like people just woke up one day and decided 'we want to look/dress like black people'...

It's not really about that. It's about style and attitude.
