oook. i just ready every post in this thread and i just don't understand why people are hating on other people. i'm a very small person, and when i ski, i like to wear ridiculously large ski pants and jacket, and i rock my studded belt too. on my way to the hill i listen to angry rap music that makes me excited and gets me pumped to go ski.
now i'm a white kid with a great home life and parents that are still together, but i don't see why being white and having a good home life means that i can't use my money to buy the brands and sizes of ski clothing that i feel looks good and accents the low slung style that i ride with when i'm sliding rails or jumping in the terrain park. i think the whole low slung monkey steeze style looks good, and i like to incorporate this style into my park riding. is that so bad? if i think that a cork 3 looks better and smoother with baggy pants than with tight pants, is that so bad? if i listen to rap music while the other kids on the hill listen to AFI, is that so bad? i don't see why being white, or being well-off has to dictate the way i dress, they way i ski, or what music i listen to.
last time i checked, skiing was about having fun. wearing the clothes i wear and skiing with the style i've chosen and listening to the music i do helps me get pumped and feel good fun vibes when i'm on the mountain, so i go out and progress. i thought that was was it was all about anyways. if you feel the need to make value judgments about people based on the way they dress, stop... you're missing the point.
my level of radness... it just can't... be quantified.
