SKI SUNDOWN 2012-2013

There are a handful of rails waiting for us up on Stinger at the wide area. We will be up there early tomorrow morning putting them in. Unfortunately, I can't even say what will be up because it depends on several different things (snow and time being the biggest). We have a basic plan, but not really a structured layout. Really all I can tell you is that there's 2 corrugated pipes, the skinny rail, the cannon, the flat-up, and I believe the double barrel (can't remember the last rail) up there waiting for us early tomorrow morning, not saying all of those will be up, but some combination of them will be. Remember, everything needs to be put in and taken out every night we make snow (which will probably be every night for a while), and since we don't have access to a cat right now, everything needs to be small enough to move by hand.

Just in that wide area around tower 5. We'll build from the top after this first big burst of snowmaking, won't be long.

FYI, Jarrod and I met with The Studio Clothing guys yesterday. They are super pumped on their rail jam on the 5th. They checked out our rail garden and they're dreaming up their requested setup now. Should have more details in a few days. Gonna be an awesome event, I can't wait for it.

any word on how much an opening day ticket will be? I m trying to hang out and shred for a few hours, I can help you guys dig and move shit if necessary :)

Even the small one. It's only about 2 feet smaller than the big one. Our boxes are pretty heavy.

It's all good, I can't even go tomorrow until late because I'll be stuck in Avon... I guess I'll start the season with rails haha, I need to learn me shit aahhhh!

worth the 1 hour drive then?

I get bored of that mountain in 20 minutes but my friend wants to go, I'll probably just be drunk anyways.

Probably going tomorrow morn- all day long... You're gonna be open right? It's nuking snow at the moment, But should turn to rain a few hours ending by opening hour hopefully?

Stoked to ski at sundown again !! F YES !

Well you can't be worse than me haha... I did every feature except for the one flat rail (not double barrel) I don't know why.. Just didn't feel the gap on that much on my first day.

i mean i can do rails but thats it. no spin offs or anything. i'm more of a jump guy. but ia lways like to think i'm decent and then i see kids doing 270s and stuff and i pretty much just skip the rails lol

Park just got a 100% rebuild this morning with 7 features starting from the top. Corrugated tube, pole jam, flat box (for frenchy), skinny rail, double barrel, cannon, and flat up. Snow is nice and soft today too. Gonna be an nice weekend.

Replaced the pole jam with the close-out this morning, also added the 32 as a flat rail.

Also, Tom's Treat will be open today, but there will be NO park on it today.

I'm not going today because I have to work at 6, and I am so sore from skiing all day yesterday haha... Will there be a park for Sunday?! (on Toms)

we'll see...a couple different factors come into play. Won't know until maybe later tonight, possibly tomorrow morning.

park was really good today and besides falling EVERY TIME (12 and i counted) on the close out. my only suggestion would be to fix up the landing for the cannon at the bottom. landing was pretty sketchy

Yeah...it took me out a couple times too...I learned you have to spin into the close out, not away from it (so if you slide right foot forward, blind spins don't work well). The snow on the landing of the cannon was extra goopy this morning so it didn't till out very well, hopefully better tomorrow.
