Ski Jumping

I'm curious to know if anyone else on NS ski jumps? By that I mean this but on smaller jumps:

My friend who lives in Lake Placid used to ski jump a couple years ago. Not sure if he still does or not. I went up to visit him once and watched him jump. It was insane in person.

That video is ridiculous too. I can't even imagine being in the air that long. Crazy.

Same for me too. I was considering talking to someone about getting into it, then I realized that I'm a hefty 6'3" guy. I couldn't do it.

Most of the pros are only about 5'7" it seems from what I've looked up.

Damn

I believe that it said he went 249 meters. That is aproximently 2 and a half football fields. Wow

Do anyone's schools even have teams? I'm from a small town in NH and we've had a team for a while. It's my first year doing it and it is super fun. You get an adrenaline rush just like when you are about to huck off a big jump. We only hit the K38 and I think there might be one town that has a K50.

It almost looked like he bailed at the end, and could have gone farther with a bigger hill. Damn, crazy sport though, I would like to try it.

Last night I was jumping like 32 or 33 meters. And the distance is measured from the lip of the take off to the K-spot of the landing which is essentially the farthest down you can land without hitting flats and that is 38 meters
