Simon dumont Aint Got SHIT check this out

Anybody else notice the height stick thing starts at 25 feet? Putting his jump closer to 34 feet, even though it looks even smaller than that to me.

Oh and did they measure from the top of his bike or something? The lowest part of him barely ever gets above the 50 mark. I know the angle could be weird, but the camera is far enough away that it shouldnt matter much.

red bull is quickly making an athlete in every action sport break the world QP records eh? Simon, Kevin Robinson (BMX) Renner, whos next? Shaun White or Sheckler for skate? naah

Its Redbull...the next QP record will be some snowmobiler doing in it NYC or some shit :P

either the ramp is 60 feet high or they measure from the ground. it looks like he is off the deck about the same distance as the deck is off the ground.

This is truly the best form of advertisement; trying to convince people that Red Bull indeed does give you wings.

I couldn't help notice that when simon broke it he did a racer tuck in, but was going as fast as tanner was switch on chads..... Someone feels a need to be intense hahaha. Mad respect for Simon though.

yeha, the poll started at 25 feet so really he was only going like 25, 30 if you measure the top of his bike. he ain't got shit on dumont

dude of course it is. why would they lie about something like this? there a measuring thing right there too. plus they probably have someone check it out to make sure its legit

not much of a qaurter pipe. more of a hip if you ask me.

he ain't got shit on simon. still sick but dumont went higher and did a fuckin nine right?

all motor sports are stupid.
Race cars
moto
snowmobile
drag race
ect
They use motors do their sports. So it doesn't count. Some of those may be hard. It still doesn't count as a sport.

because the whole point of the quarter pipe is to take off from it and land back in it...

that shouldnt count as a quarter pipe, because it isn't a "quarter pipe."

props to the guy who did it nonetheless, takes some guts.

even though they're more in shape than you will ever be, along with most who participate in our sport... yeah its not really a sport. baseball is a true sport...

That was sick, but how can you measure from the ground? Moto does the same thing with step up. The don't measure from the lip, which is ridiculous. Just build a bigger takeoff ramp and add the feet on? Doesn't make any sense. The moment I saw that I thought if that's 59', I've stomped 110' cliffs. Which I haven't. Props to the air and style, but blowing Simon away?

If they had measure Dumont's 1/4 the same way he would have gone 75'.

Wow Ronnie Renner, that was awesome, nice jump! I still don't think the classification of Simon Dumonts jump (which is way better, in my opinion), is fair. The world record when Simon broke it is "Highest Air out of a Quarter Pipe" and thats it. That means you could drive a car off or even a small plane and fly thousands of feat up into the air (except now that I think of it, that would be damn hard to land it)! I don't really think thats even close to what simon did. That would just be a motor doing all the work for you! What I'd really like to see is Simon's world record to be "Highest Air out of Quarter Pipe on Skis" but I'd settle for "Highest Air Without Motor" and "Highest Air w/ Motor. How could you compare this to some motorized vehicle pushing someone through the air?!?
