So sick, you are seriously talented! Personally I would have kept it clean without the paint job, but it turned out really dope anyways!!

And to T.Egner or whatever your name is. It depends on who I'm selling to and what they want. If I'm selling it to a skate shop or like head shop, it'll be a bit cheaper because they need to make profit, to a private collector it'll be more and for one like the one I'm doing now, the amount of time and detail in it makes this one the most expensive one I have made. I don't really like talking about prices to be honest hahaha but like if people are interested in them I'm willing to work out an Idea for whatever their budget is and what they want. So if people are interested PM me.
Also I make rideable grips if you send me your board and money I'll do a rideable grip for you. Which are obviously cheaper.

WOAH THOSE ARE NUTS! quick question, how much does the grip tape for the frist deck cost you? what kinds of paints did you use, and does the paint rub off?
 
Not to be a dick, but this is how I make money it's and art and a job. It took me a while to find the types of paint brands and griptape brands that work the best. You're going to have to use your best judgement to find what works if you're going to try this. As for the price of the griptape it's just a sheet of grip so however much that costs you at your local skate shop. And as for the paint rubbing off, no, because there aren't for riding, these are for hanging on your wall, it'd be pretty damn expensive board to be riding on.

Respect brotha. Thank you for the kind words, I will say, however, oil based paints work best, acrylic will chip off for sure. But the brands of the oil based that I use are an ancient chinese secret.
 
So a new board is in the making. It's not being made for anyone, up for grabs if one of you all would like to buy some art, if not it's going up in my place next year. The theme is Mayan High Priest Blasting Off. More pics to ensue in the coming weeks.

These are so god damn dope! I really like them in all stages, although I feel like I almost like them better when the griptape is finished by unpainted. Anyways, great work man, keep it up. I might have to pick up a cruiser this summer and get to work. How much are you selling these for?
 
To the kids asking for prices, they range depending on who I am selling too and how much they are willing to spend. The last finished board went for a little more than a grand. But the guy was some ex-skater/software engineer from Silicon Valley. So he had the money. But I mean they're also not too cheap. And they aren't meant for riding. SO don't ask. If people want to ride them it's whatever I don't find it to disrespectful, but it's a lot of fucking money to be standing on.
If you are interested PM and we can work out a price. Together. You can also send me your own used boards the smaller the cheaper, and pay for both way's shipping. At least 50 dollars for scissors, paints, blades, and grip. (I have to get new sets every board they wear easily) Plus money for man hours and detail (the first board in here is probably in the small/medium detail). SO with that being said the absolute cheapest for a board is going to come out to say what? 50 for shipping back and forth (if you want a board to be provided it'll cost about 50 as well 20 for the deck 30 for shipping), 50 for materials, and at least 50-100 for man hours so I mean you are looking at ABSOLUTE CHEAPEST $150, but realistically you will probably spend 200 for a board. The one I am making now is going t otake a while and be pretty detailed and will be more on the 300-400 dollar range. It may seem like a lot to you, but granted my fan base are 25-45 year old skateboarders who can easily afford boards that price.
I will make the board with the colors, and whatever ideas you have, design scheme, whatever you think of I can probably create.
And before someone comes in here saying $400 for that, I can make that myself. I challenge you to. The last board I did I worked on about 6-8 hours a day 7 days a week for 4 weeks so thats about 190-200 hours of work. that's 2 dollars an hour, that is like 6 dollars less an hour than the immigrants get paid here in California. Not just to mention the time needed I have been doing this for about 6 years. It is an art, it's not just cutting and pasting.

 
i could make that for that. you are not a starving artist. you are just some kid with an exacto knife and a paint pen.

we can talk philosophy of art and you can probably defend that it is art.

but we could not talk gestalt principles, composition and basic 2d layout without me puking in my mouth a little.

Hahaha well first off I'm not a kid. I'm a man so watch your mouth. Secondly, don't try to look like you are some art major pretentious fuck wad with a box of oil pastels shoved so far up his asshole he is practically puking a rainbow. I'm no fucking beginner artist so when you throw words around like gestalt principles and composition it doesn't impress anyone nor myself. This is 2-D art some forms of 3 dimensional forms but not many. But look man I have fun doing it and it's nice to incorporate skateboarding into art because I love both dearly. Oh I don't just work in griptape and board mediums I can paint and draw and print pretty fucking well if I do say so myself.
Here is what I offer you to consider doing, try making one of these yourself. Show me, yourself, and everyone else that you can do it just as good if not better than me. I have never claimed to be great or amazing just showing people something I enjoy doing. With that being said, I marketed myself and no matter how flabbergasted you are than I can pull substantial payment for one of these, well, you better start believing it. So my challenge to you, make a board better than I do and sell it for more than I do. We will see how dope it comes out and how much money you make.

and i believe you can draw pretty well as there are elements to your decks that would look really nice if they werent surrounded by the your own box of oil pastels.

and yes marketing is what is what is so very wrong, and so very right about the art world. bottom line is that art is subjective and that's what makes it art. but theres an objective degree to it that "no fucking beginner to art" would have to disagree with.
