I have a week left to decide. Its 3 years and they say it covers everything except for water (getting run over, dropping, etc...). has anyone had experience with a warranty? positive or negative? its $218 for the 3 year coverage

ive never had one for a camera, but i had one for my ipod. it was sick. i took a nasty spill on my pocket where my ipod was and the screeen cracked and messed up. jsut took it to best buy the next weekend, waited for like 2min in line and then the lady at the customer service desk gave me a new one. all i needed was my repicet and to tell them it was broken.

like if you think you going to break it its totally worth it. so with skiing , it makes sense. if you replace it once it pays for itself. id do it. its protecting your camera

Honestly for most people getting into photography with their first entry level camera they don't get one, and IMHO i dont think you should spend that kind of money on it. If the camera was made properly you shouln't have any problems, as well i havent heard of any major problems people have been having with the d90 either so i dont think you have much to worry about, if any thing comes about i am pretty sure most camera stores are generous enough to look it over and give you a new one (at least in my area). For that portion of money, put it aside for a nice piece of glass, just cherish the camera like its your child. Be careful, and you should be fine. Thats all i can say really. If you have more questions feel free to hit me up with a PM.
