Shooting At Va Tech

kid was definetly a relaitve of the "Most Hated Family in America". Searchbar it. It probably thought they were all "fags" and would just put them out of there misery. Respect the the families. Respect

i met a few V-tech engineering students on saturday, they were really cool, i hope theyre all ok. RIP all who were lost.

that was a really good point dude, and that thought hadn't crossed my mind.

Just because it takes place in a peaceful zone doesn't change the fact that the Iraquis dying are just as innocent as those poor students.

picture i took of the virginia tech mini baja car yesterday...

Exactly. Coming from a University of 40,000+ students, he is exactly right. There was nothing more they could have done to notify the students.

i feel so bad for all the people affected when this type of shit happens. sometimes i wish that they wouldnt publicize it as much right after it happens because they need time to figure everything out and notify all teh familys without 12091924 news stations jumping all over the story and coming to conclusions.

how the fuck does someone do this? I mean he reasoned out that killing people would solve his problem, what the fuck. now not only 33 kids and families have to suffer but a whole nation if not world is gonna be different after this. Thank you gunman u just fucked up the world that much more u incosiderate asshole (which doesnt even begin to express the contempt i hold in my heart for you) may your soul burn in hell for the rest of eternity. I hoped we learned from columbine and the shooting in canada but i guess not, and unfortunatly this prob wont be the last one either

fuck you! thats all you can think about after 33 people were just killed?? i think we shud take a lil more from this than just "dems or repubs are assholes". it is because of people like you that history repeats itself

uhh, he isn't the one on Capitol Hill bitching about gun control instead of focusing on the event itself - God forbid after STARTING THIS THREAD (obviously out of grief and respect) he posts something that is happening BECAUSE of this event.

the worst part is that now people are gonna start slinging the blame when really no one did anyhting wrong. NOBODY at all would think that after 2 people turn up dead in a dorm that the gunman is gonna go and kill 30 something innocent people else were on campus or anywere for that matter. This shit has never happened before and people are gonna forget and start saying that its His fault or Her fault or Their fault when really all we need to do is learn from this. Placing the blame on anyone besides the gunman is fucked (unless someone else knew is plan, and then i hope that person has the most painful and horrible life ever imagined)because it is no ones fault but his. No one could have done anything better and it is an insult to the dead to say that they could have.

and honestly those of you that said that more should have been done, were u expecting to wake up this morning and hear of 33 people being killed? when u hear of 2 people being murdured do u assume the killer is about to go and start shooting 30 other people 2 hours later? fuck no you dont so dont place blame just learn from this and Never Forget

Yeah but Iraq is in the middle of a civil war, casualties are to be expected. This happend in a college campus, no conflict, no provokation, just 1 imbecile running into a building shooting up the place for apparently no reason. We never think things like this can happen to us. In Iraq people are dying because they think its the right thing, but this was just an utterly senseless attack with no point at all.

I fail to see how innocent Iraqies (sp?) think that it is the right thing to get blown to pieces by a suicide bomber. Did they choose to have extremists forcing their point of view onto people? Did they actively go out of their way to get killed? Maybe, but I doubt it.

I think it is a perfectly valid to compare a university shooting with a suicide bombing. both are tragic. it is unfortunate that because something happens in the middle east it is not of any great concern to us.

However I think that when something happens that we can relate to it hits us much harder. For example we all go to school and we can see how bad a shooting in our own school would be. We know people who have been affected. Even directly involved. It hits us much harder than a 30 second clip of a car bombing in Iraq half a world away. Im sure that most middle eastern citizens probably won't relate to a school shooting in America, but they will be able to relate to a car bombing killing 30 of their friends, neighbours and family.

It is all relative. Both are tragic.

i was a student at VT before a transfer and i still visit often RIP to all who perished and my heart goes out to all hokies♥

devastating. condolences to anyone affected.

saying that it's not the guns that kill people but rather that people kill people is wrong. Of course ultimately its a person who points the gun and pulls the trigger; but if you can regulate who has their hands on a gun then events such as this would be less likely to happen. There is always a black market for guns but it still makes it a damn sight harder for any nutjob to get a pistol.

i hope that this event as tragic as it is will demonstrate that tighter regulation is needed.

once again... condolences

unfortunately it hits a lot harder when its on home soil. There is also the false sense of security in schools, its lucky that there have been so few incidents such as these.

the gunman, Cho Seung-Hui, and his family used to live in centreville, va. i lived there when i was little. god..

In Iraq they are fighting a WAR, In war are we shocked when we hear about 30 people dying? No, we aren't. A school shooting like this was completely unprovoked and random, with seemingly no cause for all this violence. In Iraq, theres a cause, here there was no idea whatsoever a kid was going to shoot 60 people. In Iraq people are extremely aware of the violence and to some degree expect it at some point or another and in college you think you cant be touched but this was just a reminder of how wrong we are and we are now back in reality that things this tragic happen here, too.

Dude, I cant beleive you are saying that Living in Canada is safer. These things are happening More and more all Over our continent. Dawson,Polytecnique, Concordia, where a teacher went nuts.

This sounds a lot like the polytechnique, the Man Lined up only women that time. Killing fourteen Execution style.

anyway. These events sicken me

So? Didn't you notice the little school shooting we had here at Dawson College not a few months ago? And the Montreal Massacre in the late 80s? Wake up.

yah no shit wat about that campus shooting in montreal u cant say living in canada is safer u gotta agree with this guy

uhh... what about the Americans that die there every day?

I care more about their deaths than the Iraqis.

RIP to all that were killed ar VA Tech. The shooter was obviously a piece of shit with no reason to live. I cant believe that he felt it necessary to take out 32 people before taking his own life.

Why couldnt he just kill himself and leave everyone else out of it??

fucking pointless.

32 kids with great lives.. completely destroyed.

All becuase of this one South Korean piece of shit mental-case.

FUCK YOU CHO SEUNG-HUI!!!

i wonder if he got picked on at school and what was going on with his life that he felt this was the one course of action he could take

i've never seen anyone at my university get blatantly harassed or picked on. it's college, people don't care enough about other people here, they're too worried about other shit concerning themselves

from what i read, i was sort of a loner... he would sit in the back of the class rooms and never participated in anything in class. he also wrote some real disturbing plays. he was like the stereotype for a school shooter. it's not so much that he was picked on though, more of not wanting to be accepted even when people tryed to be nice to him.

one of the students has a blog up now and he said that he knew who cho was and he went through hypothetical situations in his mind about what he would do if that kid shot up the school

RIP to all of the deceased. my dad knew one of the professors that was killed. his name first and last name started with an L, the guy was a holocaust survivor, and he barrackaded himself agaisnt the door to save the students.

sooo why do you care about Don Imus again, he deserves it... this thread isn't even about that d-bag its about aterrible tragedy. get your priorities straight
