Shawnee on Delaware, PA - Shawnee Mountain is proud to introduce its new 3,000’ Terrain Park and new 400’ Half-Pipe for winter 2004/05, devoting almost the entire wide open, top to bottom, fall line Bushkill Trail to freestyle terrain.
Designed by Snow-Grind of Hanover, Maine this new 'Super Park' will incorporate multi-jumps and snow features with different take-off levels for Riders and Skiers of different ages and abilities.
For the Jib lovers, a full Rail Garden will offer appropriately placed rails for the perfect line through the Park. The rail inventory includes: a 24’ mailbox; a 24’ flat box; a 24’ rainbow rail; a 20’ C box; a 24’ flat down rail; a 20’ flat rail; a 20’ flat down flat rail; a 30’ down flat down rail; a 30’ C rail; a 20’ battleship rail and a 30’ rainbow rail.
A new 400’ Half-Pipe has been carved out near the top of the Bushkill Trail. This new Pipe will be larger, wider and steeper than Shawnee’s former Half-Pipe, giving Riders and Skiers a better transition and deck area. A new covered pavilion with fire pit has been constructed adjacent to the rail garden providing an area for gathering and viewing.
The new Terrain Park and Pipe will be serviced by and is totally visible from the 3,400’ Bushkill Double Chairlift. A top to bottom Sound System will add to the experience. A new fully automated Snowmaking System lines the new Super Park and promises dependable snow depth and the highest quality snow conditions possible.
