Shaun White ends Sponsorship with Red Bull

thats not what he said though.

shaun went in there asking for more money and redull said no and he walked. that is being greedy.

he doesn't even have a reality show, his gold medals more than speak for his athletic carreer
 
I would be come the biggest shaun white fan if this happened. But for real it will probably be either gatorade, pepsi, coke, or someone big like that
 
I can see the whole leaving a company for more money. You're kidding yourself if you say you would take 1 mil over 3 mil that's just plain stupid. However, I dont see another company out there that does so much for any of the sports they are involved in. It's going to be hard to find a company cooler than redbull regardless of salary.
 
No one is denying the fact that they would take 3 mil over 1 mil, it's the fact that he DEMANDED 3 mil.

He probably has his reasons for leaving though. Maybe he already had a better offer and said to Red Bull "look, I have a better offer. Pay me more than they are offering or I'm going to them." Maybe he is actually starting his own company like many people have suggested.

I don't like Shaun, but don't just assume he does things like this because he is a douche.
 
You guys do realize that White doesn't always have full control of contracts like this right? He has a team of agents. A team full of greedy motherfuckers who are going to get a percentage of the deal. Now I'm sure Shaun has a lot of say, but to assume he demanded 3 million is kind of jumping the gun. The dude is worth as much as whatever company is going to pay him. I'm sure he'll find something and pretty soon too. Sucks that he leaves a company that helped propel his career and backed him since day one but it's just how things work out in the action sports industry.

Let him do what he wants, if he gets more money I say good for him. More respect from me. It's a dog eat dog world and if you guys are too pussy to realize that Shaun White has great business sense and appreciate it then I guess that's your problem isn't it?
 
shaun white is an asss hole, he was made a half pipe to work on tricks, so he was pushing the sport. its bull shit when you have a foam pit so you dont get hurt. but then when people were saying that he was the first to do a dub, its a load, louie vito was the first to do one in comp at the NZ open. but he keeps getting props for doing dub in the comfort of his own half pipe that had a foam pit. if i had that yeah i bet i could throw dub too. because you dont need to worry about death. but some of the other big names like louie vito did work on a reall half pipe that didnt have a faom pit.
 
Sorry, but this post is completely retarded and unrelated. So if Vito wanted more money from a major sponsor, would he be more entitled to it than Shaun, just because he didn't learn dubs in a foam pit?
 
i do not care for shaun white. at all. but i do have a level of respect for him to push the progression of two sports
 
just curiously, how many of the people posting in here have hung out with mr. white? not met him, not "my friend was on a shoot with him", i mean actually spent some decent time with him while he wasnt competeing?
 
hows this have anything to do with him ending his sponsorship with red bull? yeah louie vito did his dub on a halfpipe with no foam pit but he doesnt have the same sponsers as shawn. and yeah hes an asshole but he has alot of respect and alot of people looking forward for him to win and progress.
 
red bull is on its way downhill...it seems like they just keep getting dropped.....even mammoth mountain dropped them as a corporate sponsor and went over to monster just like a lot of people
 
If a company built me a private half pipe solely to learn one trick I would be indebted to them for life
 
I heard Wallisch bought it thats why you havent seen him skiing much hes been skiing there doing ultra secret tricks and having private justin bieber concerts and raising a flock of baby penguins... Its like his own Wonderland Ranch...
 
on a side note, Shaun White has a cameo appearance in "Friends With Benefits" where he acts like a total dick. I know its supposed to just be funny, but it was not flattering, and now i dislike him.
