An Impreza's a good way to go too, you can get a pretty nice one (mid-to-late 90's) for that price.

yeah, I shrunk it way down AND lowered the quality. The original wasn't taken at the highest quality or biggest size on my camera though, I had it smaller to fit more pictures (from our trip). But once I get my hood, i'll go to that exact same spot and take it at a higher quality.

Yeah its been done, alot of work, and alot of money though, if you get a new tranny, you have to get new axels, and new differentals. The best place in the NW is Steves Pacific Auto down in Spanaway, right down the street from PLU.

The swap will probably cost 10k+, 20k including the car.

 
Oh yeah, definately doable. Pretty fucking AWESOME too. RalliTek down in Oregon does swaps all the time. I know a lot of people go there.

There's a guy named Alex (he's White2.5RS on NASIOC) who's got a 99 RS with STI block in it, he's running like 18psi or something crazy like that.

well the car would be easy to come by and i have a 02 subaru outback wagon to sell, so i get the car for 5 or less , lets say i just US WRX block (STi or not), and basicly a new Drivetrain. if that runs me over 14 i would be surprised even after new pipes and intercooler. . that would be a fun one to pull up next to little civics in.

you'd be surprised how easy an RS ISN'T to come by... not many people like getting rid of them, and there weren't many made in the first place.

I'd say get an L, RS's are extremely rare, and if you do find one, there gonna cost alot because the person selling it knows its rare... you can find AWD L's for 3200.. there was a purple one in FW afew weeks ago for that price.

 
and then!!!!! um and then just keep it all L and not put any rs stuff on it, besides maybe suspension and have a total sleeper.

its going to be sleeper style, STi bages only. try to find some old stock gold rims or maybe a bbs gold, but i would only replace what i had to for the L no need in gettin to in to make it stand out to much already will have a powder house to kill them. its all about suprising the comp.

the best seats I've ever sat in were EDM WRX seats, which as far as I know are identical to STi v4-6 seats, just all in black!!!

I swear they were designed around me... well, they were designed around Japanese people, which are on average smaller then americans, and I'm tiny, so they fit like a glove. Like seriously, just squeezed my ass perfect, hugged my waist tight, and my arms just naturally sat in a 'holding the steering wheel' position. The best seat EVER.

Makes you feel like your car loves you as much as you love it (the hug effect).

Sadly, my seats are flatter then flat..... designed for FAT people, so I my car doesn't hug me......

meh, they're no STI v.5's.... haha

Even the new USDM WRX seats (like in Chris's new car) are too big for me, I still slide around.

My friend Jon (westin impreza on NASIOC) has got these OMP seats, man. Its like sitting in a bucket, they hold you so tight. They are full racing seats though, no reclining back or nothing.

i've never sat in any JDM sti seats, but I was in a recaro seat once in my friends rx7, those things are tight.. i dunno if its just me though, im like 5'10 and 150 pounds

 
they're nice, but too fat for my skinny ass.

But they're almost identical (support wise) to the seats I'm gonna get for the Buggy (02 2.5RS seats). They just have a separate head rest is all.

I want your car Chris.
