School racing teams and twin tipps?

they do, at least wsu does because i did. i raced on pollards and mavericks. trust me, twins blow for racing tho, so if you want to do well buy some cheap race skis.

i was jw my school doesnt have a ski team i wanted to start soime sort of freeride thing for skiers and maybe whoever boards or something. the only thing we have is friday ngiht ski, which is we go to mohawk mountain in hartford connecticut to ski for 4 hours but mohawk blows cock

i heard from some reacers at my school they dont let you race with twin tips but i wouldnt know fo sho

yeah use whatever you want theres no rules for hs. have fun holding an edge on ice with them chattering like crazy though.

my school doesnt care what you do on the race days, you could probally bring a gt snow racer. my school is also soo cheap we brought 25 kids and 2 teachers in 2 mini vans, it was crowded

of course

I was gonna be on ski team this year so i could not go to school and go skiing but i found out that all you really do is practice

haha I used mine, but my 80 year old coach got all kranky and was like "whattaya doin with those dern two way skis!!" he didn't actually stop me from using them, change just really confuses old people.

Twin tips are inherently too slow to race. Its not what they are made for. It is too wide at the top. The best alt use for twin tips is powder skiing.

it can be done, no question. but i think you would always be faster on the heavy ass /stiff race skis. plus my twins never have edges

yeah.. but one time i ate shit during a race and when i came to the finsh i just 180 over the line. and they got pissed as all shit.... my coach was mad but not as mad as this offical from three rivers.. i mean fuck... he must have hated redheads or someting.. casue he wanted me out of the leauge and shit...but yeah. i dont race anymore...

I race on twins, it fucking blows, but hitting the park at night after school makes it all worth it.

i hate the racers at my mountain that ski on twins, cause they think there cool and all so they can hit up the pipe, and then they just ski down the middle and make mogels, same with their parents, the pipe at my mountain this week had mogels through it cause of the race right next to the pipe, and all the stupid racer parents skied through the middle.

haha yea i did this for 3 years in a row, it was funny when i placed in the top 10 over about 60 kids with speed suits and race skis while i was on tm's with baggy ass shit on

yeah im thinking of joining the school race team just for another way to get to the mountain, i got race skis though and theres def. a huge difference haha

where do you live? because i live in redding and its the same distance to mowhawk as it is to sundown and sundown has an ill park(for CT) so see if you can start a team there.

yeah i got a pic of me in a slomon corse and im rockin out on some scractc bcs 188s... ther flexing like all hell

yeah theyre actually not bad for slalom theyre ok with really quick snappy turns... basically you can use the chattering to your advantage once you get a feel for it

Men's FIS ski lengths for tech are like... 165cm min for SL and 185cm min for GS, most guys on my team race a 191cm for GS.

yes, but my coach was not pleased. At our pep rally, they called the ski team into the hall to line up, and he told me I wasnt gonig on the stage with them.

no state athletic codes stipulate what kind of skis you need.

only racing in FIS or USSA are your skis looked at

yeha ive raced on twins for 2 years. i dont even do that bad. gs suits bug me too htough. just hit the park while your not doing your 2 runs or however many you guys do

181 min for GS. i joined my HS race team just to travel and get a free day of skiing while skipping school. its a lot of fun. i just hit the park all day and free ski. the race run itself takes like only a minute so its not bad
