Where are the good places to eat around SLC? Any lesser known reastaurants you like to eat at? Any good places to eat at for cheap? I'm tired of going to the same places so any suggestions would be great.

tony burger on 4th south is half off with u of u id and its pretty good. masala indian in sugar house and curry in a hurry are good. not a huge fan of the food out here though, i eat a lot of chipotle.

- On Time for great Mexican. Get the smothered burritos.
- Moochies for the best Philly cheese steaks ever. Not that cheap though.
- Apollo Burger is always good.
- The chicken quesadillas at Betos are awesome, and other things.
- La Frontera is another great Mexican place.
- Hook & Ladder is another great burger place.
- Zushi has decent sushi, but not amazing.

pats is pretty good, the pulled pork is EPIC, but the ribs I got were actually very bad. My friend said his chicken was really good.

I've been hitting up Ichiban for sushi for years and just went to happy sumo at the gateway last night and it is way more legit. You can go to their website and sign up for their "vip area" shit and it gets you half off on a bunch of rolls.

a ton of the good ones have been mentioned.

Pat's BBQ is epic, ive had really good luck with the ribs there.

Gandolfo's on 300W is what is up for sandwiches. its an authentic italian deli... tastes like back east.

Hires Big H is a great local burger spot. awesome burgers, awesome fries, and some sort of secret fry sauce.

Davanzas in PC is legit, not on foothill thou.

The Soup Kitchen is what's up for Sandwiches and Soup... they are all around the valley but hard to find. keep an eye out.

Park Cafe for breakfest is the best.

Vinto downtown is good for fancier pizzas... some real food stuff there actually

SuCasa up the street is good for a ton of food for real cheap. 7.95 for dinner and theres no way you wont be full... really full.

Soup Kitchen - soup and sandwiches. They have a good burger special too

Taco Stands - Obvious. My faves are Sugarhouse and 800 S. State in front of Sears.

O'shucks/Ahh Sushi - Wednesday for $3 schooners and cheap ass rolls. Funky Charlie FTW.

Wing Coop - Dank wings and wraps, Monday/Thursday $.50 wings.

Moochies - Meatball subs and Phillies

East Coast Subs - Phillies and other dwidges. Awesome pepper relish.

Red Iguana - Super danky sit-down Mexi food

Lonestar - Dank burritos and fish tacos. Caronas through the Drive-thru.

The Mexi Burrito Restaurant - 3900 S. 2300 E. Far superior to Molca Salsa. Hector is a boss though.

Apolo/Crown/Olympus burger - All good, but Olympus has a place in my heart.

Nick-n-Willy's Pizza - $5 for an 8in loaded with dank and a drink.

Park Cafe/Carls Cafe/Blue Plate/Over the Counter - All super dank breakfast.

Haha but it's so convenient! They do have good teriyaki bowls though. Sometimes they change it up and put a different vegetable mix on it which isn't the best, but usually its real good.

the real question is: which restaurant should i get a job at?? anyone work anywhere cool and wanna put in a good word?? i needs a job....

If you know anything about boat/engine parts, or can fake it. Marine Products could use another person in the parts department.

red rock brewery had good food. i've been to the one in park city twice, and the one in SLC.

thats my 2 cents for the best food.

stoneground's pizza was so-so......

i went on restaurant.com and bought a few coupons for my next trip out. 80% off 25$ gift cards make a few expensive places worth trying....

my roommate is the manager there. definitely in need of some drivers if you have some experience in the food industry, about 14 an hour including tips on a good night.

possibly misspelled but
thai food
thai chanon - best thai foodsawadee - phat lunch specials
and
Himalayan kitchen is delicious - sick lunch buffet for 10$

IMO you've gotten some bad suggestions so far. Been to pat's twice and I'll never go back, I had chicken, pulled pork and ribs and it was all terribly mediocre.

Masala and curry in a hurry are good but generally mediocre as well.

My favorites...

Pago in the 9th and 9th area is GREAT. Great date spot. Fresh seasonal menu.

Lugano's is the best and most authentic Italian in SLC and I'm writing this after spending the last 2 weeks in Italy.

Best mexi is the taco cart ON state street near JC Penney parking lot. Second is red iguana on south (or is it north) temple, which is pretty authentic mexi-cuisine.

I also love stoneground, and Shanghai on 13 (or is it 17) s for Pho soup.

Tibetan cafe is good along with the Thai curry place on 4th and state. I haven't found a favorite indian place yet.

Also try kuolodit (sp) on redwood road an 14 something if I remember right. Home style African food. Been a year and a half since I was there so I'm not sure it's still around

there's NOTHING special about the pie, so disregard that. the wiseguys calzone is very good but besides that just a normal spot. red iguana is on N temple, definitely worth checking out. moochies is super legit, get the atomic meatball (instead of american they use feta, and somehow it's incredible). oasis cafe is great for breakfast if you're into fairtrade/natural type stuff, not cheap but not expensive either, and yes they still have a fine selection of breakfast meats.

Four more... Piper down has some good food including some Irish classics. I like takashi best for sushi. Fat's grill in sugarhouse has good burgers and i love the soup kitchen if you are in the mood for a cheap sandwich

Last winter when I was living in the Valley id go to the Chinese Buffet around 3300 State and bring ziplock bags and cloths with lots of pockets. You eat your delicious chinese cuisine then get plates of different food and stuff your zip lock bags/pockets. I was eating lo mein, sweet and sour chicken, and crab rangoons for a week. Now I realize that your eating the same thing and it may not be the best for you but I was fed for a week for about 10 bucks. Cant beat that. And for a good sandwich theres a place called the philidelphian between 10600 and 9000 state st that makes killer subs that are huge. Sorry for the vague locations.

The Philly is on 10000 S. and 700 E. The place is straight grimey but the subs are oh so good. Make sure to call your order in and pick it up. If you order and eat there your're going to smell like hole for a week.

it should be clarified that davanzas makes the shittiest imitation of pizza on the planet, served with middle school cafeteria fries. the only thing keeping them afloat is stubborn local pride, a liqour license, and an ok chicken philly. that applies to every location.

a place called Ginza for really good Sushi its on 2nd south close to PF Changs another nice pizza place is Setebellos literally around the corner from Ginza

definitely stoked on red rocks brewery..went on my birthday and was stoked..reall good

Oh shit son I didnt even realize that you posted this. You were the one I went with to the buffet and the philly.
