Yes, Saddam does deserve to be exectued. There are people roaming free right now who have killed far more than 500 "innocent" people, and I don't see the US spending millions of dollars to put them to death, or even try to.
 
well then u should be inclined to start censoring the violence that is exposed to our youth maybe then your point will actualy get across. maybe people wont have such extreme methods. i just know to fix the problem u speak of isnt goin to get fixed on this website so stop trying.
 
It was never about morality. We didn't give a fuck about those people in 1983..

We wanted a reason, so we dug one up. Kind of kept it on the hush who gave him those chemical weapons that he used on his own people. You can't let a pitbull lose on a cat and then shoot him when he bites it. So political, its disgusting.
 
I'm usually against censorship of any kind. I just don't think it will have any real effect (even if it did, I'm not sure it would be worth it). I mostly just want people to stop being so stupid.
 
Actually the weapons we gave him were used against Iran and against Kuwait in the Persian Gulf incident, but yeah we were a suppourter of his scud missle program. We basically were the reason the scuds were able to get off the ground and land remotely in the country that they were aiming for.
 
right, not to say Iran wasn't being a bitch to us, but a little bit of foresight on our parts might've done us some good.
 
Oh definitely. We didn't learn from our mistakes though...Israel, Pakistan, India, Jordan...just to name a few of the countries we supply with military items and technology.

After death, there is nothing. Basically, were letting Saddam off easy - he should have been sentenced to life in prison in that colorado max security prison. He still had at least 10 years to go, 10 years he would have spent rotting, with no contact with any other person, thinking about how if he hadnt been such a fucking psycho, he wouldnt be rotting away in butt fuck nowhere.

Now, i have to say this because im sure some fuckwit otherwise would say "he cant go to jail in the US!", well, thats not my point, my point is that he should have been sent to rot away somewhere where he would be stuck in a tiny cell with no daylight and no contact with anyone else except the occasional guard (when i say occasional, i mean like, once a year)

 
i definately think that he should have spent life in prison instead of being hanged, but my only recalled thought on that is some insane follower of his would probably go in, commit murder/suicide and bust his ass out
 
The lack of humanity in this thread is disturbing. Especially considering the age of many NSers. Glad to see the usual NS intellects still uphold human values though.

So everything is okay now that he's dead? Those people will have suffered less now than they will have a couple days ago, when Saddam was alive? I don't see the sense in that.
 
yeah he should have been tortured for days till he couldn't take it then finally burn him alive in an oven at about 140 degrees
 
does anyone on here know someone that died in 9-11.... if so what would you want to happen to osama if he was caught... isnt it kinda the same thing except saddam killed more just they werent americans.. thats why your all taking his side. if i saw osama i would light him on fire and watch him burn to death and tell me their is something weird about that theres not
 
That is nothing but revenge, and I don't think that revenge is a sound means of justice. Sure, that's how everything has been dealt with historically, but I was hoping in this day and age people would realize that it is amoral, and just doesn't work.
 
Okay, here is a scenario that I will probably get a lot of shit for, but maybe it will give you some perspective on your position. Osama is a muslim leader. The actions of the US have greatly harmed his people (support of Israel, economic influences in the Middle East, military occupation, supporting oppressive regimes, etc.) Those were people who had never done anything to Bush (or another president.) What if, instead of flying planes into the World Trade Center, he assassinated Bush? What if he lit him on fire and watched him burn to death? How could you say that is wrong, if you are willing to do the same to Osama for killing innocent people?

Another scenario: An Iraqi's family is all killed by the US military. They were not insurgents, they were just in the wrong place at the wrong time. According to you, it would be totally justifiable for that person to torture Bush to his heart's content.

I AM NOT SAYING IT IS OKAY FOR THESE PEOPLE TO ASSASSINATE THE PRESIDENT. I AM NOT JUSTIFYING THE WORLD TRADE CENTER BOMBINGS, THE KILLING OF IRAQIS, US ACTIONS IN THE MIDDLE EAST, OR ANYTHING ALONG THOSE LINES. IF YOU SAY I AM, I WILL IGNORE YOU.
