Pabst Blue Ribbon MMMM MMMM GOOD!

i could use one right about now

actually if his neck don't break once he drops then he will be suffacated....he'll hang from tha gallows till his legs stop kickin....thats so oldschool though to hang some1

hanging isnt a quick death, wen they drop the floor, it breaks ur neck and u slowly strangle, its actually a prety harsh death, right behind being burnt alive, and drowning

yeah its iraq though, Americans weren't in charge of the type of death penalty. they should torture him for 24 hours then kill him.....he killed so many people in horrible ways

that woulda been dope with a fireing squad,...

cept do it nice and slow,

one shot in each foot, then soot out each knee cap, then cap his nuts off,

then take a 50.cal and hit him once in one leg then once in the pelvic region, then take him to the hospital and heal him...

then do it all again

or. put a plastic bag over his head...

a clear one so you can watch...

yeah part of the iraqi election was to vote on which ridiculously outdated method of execution they wanted for saddam. in close second was beheading, followed by crucifixion. honorable mention went to stoning him to death. the death will take place in a small town outside of baghdad, done up to look identical to 1850's El Paso, Texas. Rumor has it Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid will be making an appearance.

People being so ecstatic about killing another person. Not to say that he wasn't a terrible leader, but will hanging him do any kind of justice? Will torturing him and making him die a slow, painful death serve justice better? I thought that people were civilized enough to not use hangings as entertainment anymore, but I suppose it's too much to hope for any kind of humanity in people.

^^^^^^^^^hahaha thats the second time someones said that about me on here

i take pride :) thank you very much!:D

Crimes against humanity

Hussein was convicted on November 5 of crimes against humanity in connection with the killings of 148 people in the rown of Dujail after an attempt on his life.

The dictator was found guilty of murder, torture and forced deportation.

The Dujail episode falls within 12 of the worst cases out of 500 documented "baskets of crimes" during the Hussein regime.

The U.S. State Department says torture and extrajudicial killings followed the Dujail killings and that 550 men, women and children were arrested without warrants.

CNN's Aneesh Raman, Arwa Damon, Ryan Chilcote, Sam Dagher, Jomana Karadsheh and Ed Henry contributed to this report.\

weres the humanity

It's not entertainment; its a punishment. People make it out to be entertainment. Hanging is still on the books in Cali. It's pretty humane.

I am well aware of all that. But, will any of this be fixed if he is brutally tortured? Obviously he is an inhumane criminal, but I don't think it is necessary to stoop to similar levels to prove our own humanity. If killing and torturing are such atrocious crimes, why are 90% of the replies in this thread calling for killing and torturing?

nasty.

yeah, he deserves to die, but I don't want to watch him. Although, I was wondering the same thing- if they were going to broadcast it. But I think that'd probably be way too "politically incorrect" to a lot of people.

Funny how ironic one of those charges is...

"that 550 men, women and children were arrested without warrants."

Guantanamo Bay? 3 Juviniles held hostage? Ring a bell?

im sure all the families who lost someone because of saddam think hangin is gettin off easier than shit. hes clearly shown he has no mercy or heart, so why get such a heart ache over him and the way he dies? if he didnt care how those people died why should we care how he dies.

I don't see what good punishment does, but I think that's besides the point. What I think is inhumane is that people do make it out to be entertainment. If it's going to be done, I suppose hanging is a humane enough way to die. It's the people that don't think hanging is painful enough that I have the problem with.

no its not going to live on tv.

CNNsays Haddad wouldn't disclose the location of the execution and said it won't be broadcast live on TV because of human rights issues.

Yeah, it is pretty sick, how people are. Maybe they should have done it without public notice and then informed everyone afterwards. It's just become a spectacal now...

It is by no means self-evident that human beings are most real when most violently excited; violent physical passions do not in themselves differentiate men from each other, but rather tend to reduce them to the same state.

Eye for an eye, right? Why do you keep saying I have a heart-ache for Saddam? It's obvious that I don't, and it's just a typical tactic used by people who have no idea what they're talking about. It's the equivalent of the popular "you're on the side of the terrorists if you don't agree with the war," and it's compete bullshit. I'll tell you why we should care how he's punished: We are not supposed to be on his level. But, when I hear all this talk of celebration for torturing a person, I can't help but to be inclined otherwise.
