Roxy skis

yeah they look good... its a good thing that the girls have a lady-only ski company, its also very good for the market.

look kinda cheap to tell you the truth .. if i was a girl id go with the like womans line of skis they look alot more solid and if it matters the line graphics are alot nicer .. oh and they dont give that much info on the skis .."they turn nice" kinda sounds dumb

yeah, I agree that the quote "they turn nice" sounds kinda dumb, but the skis are made by rossignol, so theyre def the shit...

do they have a team? and I tought that they would have more than 1 twin. so it's like the Women trouble maker the roxy skis?

damn I really thought those were made from rossi technologies, i think its dumb that they sport the dynastar logo on the skis...

they are fairly cheap skis. we've got some on display in my store and they're super soft. i know they're for women but DAMN i've never seen skis this soft. the twin tip is so soft it makes the t-hall pro model look like a race ski.

they're gonna need to step shit up if they want to gain any kind of credibility next year.

should sell to the little 14 year old girls that care only about the colour of their skis

They are all just dynastar skis witha different top sheet, I know one is just the exclusive 8 painted pink or something. But that twin tip is supersoft, feels like a 7 year old would snap it in half.

1st page of Cosmo Girl magazine, a 2 page spread of ROXY SKIS ad. The model in it is wearing some one piece light blue roxy 'ski' suit and the skis have hawaiian flowers on them. I guess for little girls it's a good market, but I know I wouldn't buy them if I could get something like the ARW or Missdemeanor instead.

I'll be honest, looks like junk. I mean my woman rocks 4frnt stl's, I dont think she'll be skiing roxy anytime soon lol. Maybe those boots though, she has a thing for pink.... women

Considering I think they're an evil company just trying to cash in on a sport that makes me so happy, and I don't believe they'll give half a shit about skiing once it inevitably loses popularity a few years down the road, only to leave their athletes (if they can even manage to pick up more than ONE skier, which is currently the case) stranded, contractless and without a paycheque...I've got to say that they could definitly be uglier graphics. I expected much less.

i would never rock those.

actully some guy tried to sell them to my at the toronto ski show and i just gave him a a smile and went back to looking at the skis i was looking at before (PE's i think) and he's like these skis would be good for a girl to progress with or something (talknig about the roxy skis). that pissed me off. how does some crappy polka dotted ski help me progress better than say P.E's or fujis like i already have jsut becasue i'm a girl

We have had a shit load of people coming into our store asking if they are in yet. Anything is good if it brings more people into this sport.

The Roxy program just came up over the summer when Quicksilver bought Rossi/Dynastar. They'll have a full line for next year but for now this is just a quick hit to intro the Roxy label on skis. I agree that tagging Dynastar to it is lame but the PTB think it's gonna somehow lend more credibility to the label...not cool! It'll be legit in no time.

ha well i just looked at them, i don't get why they don't make girls skis actually long enough for alot of us girls to ride. like 165 is the longest ski they have thats crazy

in freeskier it listed a 170 but i'm not seeing it on the roxy website. mixed feelings... it seems incredibly weird that skiing is on CosmoGirl ad space. roxy skis = huge step into the commercial world.

BAahhhhwaAAA ahahhha Cosmo girl mag!! ahahhaha is that like Anerexia.com or what???

if i was to ski those skis; which i wouldnt cause im a dood, they are made by dyna and they have flowers; i would break 100 pairs a season. they look like toothpicks.

They don't sell them at walmart. Roxy's using Dynastar skis because they are looking for a quality ski to use. The Roxy line up is very limited for this year and only a limited quantity will be released to the public this year. Roxy is trying to create a buzz this year and then next year introduce a proper line up. The skis arent low quality, they actually used some really nice skis by dynastar like the Exclusive 8 which is a great mid-level cruising ski. The reason the length of the ski isnt very long is because most womens specific skis arent that long. The girls on this site(in all there awsomeness) ride a different ski then most women out there. The roxy skis arent targeted at you. they are targeted at a skier who is not going as big as possible, who is still learning how to ride. Somebody who is only spending maybe 10 days on the hill.

Yea, these skis are not twin tips for girls who can actually ski, they are for girl who would like to think that they can ski. They are just like twin tip rental skis. I bet you could get down with some massive presses and butters on them though...

I saw them in person this weekend, and I must say, what a joke. I think they'd be good for the beginners who can't ski very well, but for girls who can rip, they are a joke. Im 5'6" 120ish, and I would be afraid of breaking those skis. I would much rather ride the MDs and feel confident on a K2 ski then worry about tearing those skis to shreads. PLUS the lengths they come in are a joke as well. Theres my little rant. Sorry.

You really want a chick who skis on Roxy's?

Fucking stupid is what it is. There comes a point when we have to stop horing our sport out. Having a shit-load of people doing you "sport" doesn't win you the game. Less people skiing = good.

Plus, they need to get some girls on their skis to promote their product. Nothings really gonna take off for their ski line unless they get a reputible (SP) skiier on their skis. Which isn't going to happen as long as the majority of the skiing industry sees their product as a joke.

yeah they will bring more girls in the sports but probably just pro hoes cause girls who can RIDE won't buy them.

Those skis would probably break if I was looking at them for more than 5 minutes in a row.

Quicksilver bought out Rossignol, which owns Dynastar, Look, Lange, et cetera... So Quicksilver just put a different topsheet on some Rossi's and called them Roxy. They arent a new ski, or company for that matter, just a new owner, with a shiny new topsheet.
