Roxy skis

I saw a really funny sticker the other day: Surfing sucks. Dont try it.

Anyhow, Roxy's first production isn't promising, but time will tell.

It is great, however, to see the most woman participation in an NS thread that I can remember.

OMG they are so ugly, and they look really cheap, maybe they are good, dynastar makes them, but it is almost the same ski as the junior dynastar twintip, don't know the name..but you just have to pay more for the roxy ski, and i can't see why...becasue they are so ugly and they look ridiculus, i would never ride them!!!usch...yuuck

The Roxy twin is the same ski as the Sweet Trouble which is a full woodcore twin tip.

Like it has been said many times. They are not marketing their skis to experienced skier yet. They are going after young beginner / intermediate skiers. Next year they will have more offerings. Eventually I am sure they will have a team and have more advanced skis.

Get your heads out of your ass and realize this will be good for the sport. Have you seen how much money Roxy / Quiksilver spends on surfing competitions? Maybe they will bring that idea to skiing now.

Thank god someone realizes what a positive impact this could have for the sport. It shows solid committment to skiing by Quiksilver.

And they dump MASSIVE money into surfing, which is nowhere near as big a market as skiing in general is.

As for the skis, they are marketed towards beginners now. They are marketing exactly how they should be. Making a name by going after the biggest segment they can. Younger girls who love the name and image, who aren't the best skiers.

Since they are Dynastar skis though redesigned, they will undoubtbly bring over some higher level skis. From a marketing standpoint, what they are doing is very smart.

I bet you'll see tons of mediocre 14 year old girls on their skis this winter.
