You're making a good point that he is a doctor and that he may not fold under pressure. But there are certain things about him that when he speaks, he's uneasy, and it seems to me he lacks confidence, and i often find him yelling whenever he's saying something. There are a million other things the CIA does, and i think even the thought of gradually getting rid of it is ridiculous. The way we know that the rest of the world isn't going ape shit on us isnt becuase of what happens, its what doesn't happen that matters. The CIA knows things, they have administrators, records, managers, branches, programs, that they have been running for 60 years. Imagine how hard it is to present all that shit to president after president in a way that they can understand it. Ron Pauls foreign policy scares me. There are things in the CIA that you and I aren't allowed to know, and things that can't be disclosed to Ron Paul and the 22nd Texas Congressional district. And im afraid he doesn't understand that. There are things that go on in the CIA that he may deem "unconstitutional" but the The Const. was written in 1787, i am aware of amendmants but Ron Paul needs to see things in a different perspective, this is not the world of 1800 when we fought on horseback and muskets. This is not 1900 where we just started using automatic firearms and jeeps. This is 2007 the time of nuclear bombs, snipers that can shoot accuratly from 3 km away, and threats to this country that are unprecedented. Ron Paul wants to leave Iraq, thats not finishing the job, thats leaving it half done. What's going to happen when we leave Iraq destroyed, in ruins, with no gov. system and no infrastructure. no nothing? Terrorist organizations like Al Queda take shelter in ruined middle eastern countries. Why was the US supporting warlords in somalia? so al queda wouldnt come and direct all there hate to the US and our allies and take shelter ther. Does it look like afganistan has an infrastructure? no. thats why Al Queda is breeding terrorists there. because noone will do anything about it. If we leave Iraq, Al Queda will come in, and it will serve as a new breeding ground for terrorists. They will say to the youth, hey look what the americans did the your country, come join us in the name of god, and fight them. and everything will start all over again.
