Rodney Mullen's segment in this skate video is so absurd. It was released in 2001 and is at the equivalent or better of Eric Kostons part in Yeah Right.

If hes the person im thinking of, hes the sickest skater ive ever seen. Im dont consider myself a skater by any means, but from all the crazy flat ground tricks he does he amazes me.

I could agree with you but in Yeah Right Koston does a huge c Handrail and stuff like nollie flip to manual to a bs board on a handrail and crook to nose manual to nollie flip out. However I would like to see more recent Mullen Footage.

in my opinion thier styles are too different to be directly compared. but if comparison had to made i would go with mullen, he is the history of skating, he invented so much shit

You really can't compare the two.

Mullen only does flat ground, nose manuals, and lots of tech flip tricks. Mullen never does handrails or sets.

Koston on the other hand does huge sets, tech rails, gaps, and tech flip tricks on and off rails.

Totally different skate styles, probably both the best at what they do.

Mullen definatly has better style!??!?!! anyone who knows anything about skateboarding knows that koston is one of the most stylish skaters of all time, rodney mullen is a fucking robot, he is a calculated mathamatical skateboarding genius, he has more skill and technical abitlity then anyone, but koston KILLS him style wise... and like so many people said, its impossible to compare them.... its almost like 2 different sports

Mullen not only is in a category all on his own, but come on, he has been killing it like that (in the fashion of the time anyhow) for EVER. Mullen was the king 16 years ago when I started skating and is still the man now.

they are both unbelievable but like a lot of people have said, they are way different. mullen is insane on flatland and technical shit like that. but if i'd have to choose i'd go with koston. his 360 flip to noseblunt on handrails is crazy.

I was reading Skateboarder Mag. and I was looking at the Tom Penny interview and he said that Mark Appleyard did a Kick flip BS tail slide big spin out on a 7 stair handrail.

Don't even get me started. Rodney is the best. The person that said Tony could whoop Rodney. He probably would smoke him in a vert comp, but Rodney would roll up Tony and smoke him on any sreet or freestyle comp. And also Rodney does have awsome style. He could probably beat Koston in a street comp to. He does stuff noone else inthe world nknows how to do. It's just so freakin awsome. I want to meet him someday.

yea, mullen is awsome. i have a mullen saint deck. its pretty sweet. but i still suck much at skating.

in one thing he manuals and like fingerflips and shov its like 5 times. its crazy, and his truckstands and like kickflip ot primo to double flip. it is some good stuff

Rodney started out skating vert, but then his dad said it was too dangerous, so Rodney started doing flatland in the family garage.

'Today i took a bus back home from town and this guy comes to sit next to me and he was so on pills or whatever.. anyways he pulls up a bag of pills and asks me do i want to get wasted and im like 'no thanks'.. so he looks a bit mad and puts the bag away, next he pulls up a box of chocolate-chip cookies and asks: Do ya atleast wanna have a fucking cookie' ' -Pekkis
