i figured out rodeos by myself.  i just thought of it this way, maybe it will work for you: 'When you do a backflip, you're doing it straight back, at a 12:00 angle (on a clock).  To try a rodeo, just try doing a backflip at the 10:00 axis.  it will be a sideways backflip, then in the last third of the spin, you'll rotate a 180 and land.'  Just try it and then you'll understand.
And to those of you who are saying 'Lincoln 540,' there is no such thing.  a lincoln is just a flip, spins aren't added to it.  what most people think a lincoln 180 is, is usually a rodeo 5, or sometimes a misty 5, but those are thrown forward.
