I'm pretty sure that all this kid wanted from day one is to be able to ride this season, I don't think attention has anything to do with it. I guess I was mistaken when I thought that this forum was about sharing the love of being on snow as much as possible.

i was being serious bro it's funny that you never take it seriously. and no i joined in 01 and lurked, made a new account in 03 to look like less of a tool than my previous account and kept it forever, and then made this one a little while ago just to switch things up. it's hilarious how differently people treat you on two different accounts
 
im not gonna name names but i have a friend who used to have a thing with surface who refused to use their park skis because the first pair he had he snapped in 3 laps from landing a little backseat straight airing a hip. there quality of park skis is definitely questionable from what i've heard and this thread is a perfect example. now obviously surface isnt going to replace big spences skis because they had seen rails, thats pretty normal for ski companies. but some sort of discount on another pair definitely wouldnt hurt because skis, whether they've touched rails or not should NOT fall apart as easily as described. shitty luck but from reading this thread i really dont see anything good coming out of it.
 
just finished reading the last few pages and its very clear what surface is doing. knowing how much spence has trashed their quality they were desperate to get their good impression back so they dreamed up the BSI. however they refuse to replace spences skis even though they know they were made of inferior quality because then everyone would be like replace mine i hit rails. to spence: you shouldve bought your shit from backcountry where u could have them warrantied atfer shigt like this happened and dont expect some independent company to replace skis that were used to hit rails. and to surface: props for dreaming this up but sometimes u gotta admit when your wrong and everyone knows this is a ploy to get your reputation back.
 
huh...it was probably bishop since he's the only rider that's refused to ride them before.

but anyways, i've never seen a pair break in that short amount of time, especially not mine. and fuck i weigh almost 200 pounds and have been skiing these shits for 2 years. what the hell do you people do with your skis?

true, but i also never got contacted like they claimed.

and i think surface should definitely have some sort of demo day or something up here. to my knowledge they've never done anything like that outside of UT, at least not with their entire team. i just don't want it to be called the "BIG SPENCE INVITATIONAL".

Im pretty sure malone used to ride for surface but refuesed to ride them anymore also. Just what i have heard but can't be positive about it
 
i'm not pissed in the slightest.

thousands of riders break their shitty surface skis every year. they don't all get invitationals.
 
Yea I would never expect one but the fact that they came out and said that they would makes me pissed. When i buy a lotto ticket i don't expect to win a million dollars. But if im told by the lotto company i won, I now expect that money and would be pissed if i didnt get it.

you claimed you didn't want it BEFORE winter started you fucking idiot. don't you think they're a tad busy running a business during one of the busiest times of the year to call you right away to set a date for a stupid event that'll take place months from then?

you're a fucking moron and surface just showed how big of a bitch you are. you're the one who made this whole thing public in the first place so congrats, you got the attention! surface made an offer that would have been fun for not just your selfish ass, but for everyone at your mountain. who knows maybe they would have shown up with some teammates if you weren't such a bitch about it... but i guess we will never know because you're a fucking bitch.

take this as a lesson learned about not being a full on fucking retard with your warranty.
