2. When i was a sophomore in HS (about 4 years ago) i went to whistler for HN. I hurt myself pretty badly on the trampolines and have had back problems ever since. Recently, they have been getting worse. If i dont get an MRI soon, and this bill passes, i may have to wait months before i get one because it is not life threatening.

So lets say the bill passes, i still havent gotten my MRI but sign up for it post passing of the bill. I have to wait (ill go on the small side here) 2 months before i get it. I am skiing 2 weeks later get hit by a stupid gayper from jersey and am now paralyzed from the waist down. Please tell me why thats ok.
 
realistically, you are probably going to be waiting for a while anyways.

i just dislocated my collarbone, and i had to scratch and claw to manage to get an appointment with an orthopedist, or i would have been waiting forever.

not to mention the fact that in both of these cases, were talking about pretty specialized care, not the basic coverage that the uninsured actually need.

as for the 2.5 time the poverty level, who cares? if anything this is more of a point of how absurdly overpriced and difficult to get healthcare is, that you can be at 2.5 times higher than the poverty level and still not afford health care. so its 40 million people, the point still stands.

and your last point is rather lacking in the numbers department. sure there probably are some, but lets not speculate unless we have numbers

IDK where you live, but in MN we have a 7% sales tax. (we even added to that to build a baseball stadium) (idiots).

dont forget the "user fee" taxes. (i dont have as much a problem with these) take for example its going to cost me $40 to keep my car on the road this year, and thats only because i dont need new plates. (and my car is 10 years old)

I used to live in palatine/Schaumburg (cant spell them idgaf). Id pay those taxes ANYDAY for the food and quality of life chicago gives/gave me. minnesota blows a big fat one

but my babby skiminnesota is here so it makes it allllll better
 
I have had an MRI, the doctor was from India and spoke terrible english and did not comprehend my injury. He said there was nothing wrong. He is wrong, if i sit in a certain position i get excrucating pain through my back and parts of my body start to tingle. So your first claim has been disproved

Im not trying to argue taxes but this was a pretty big election and i grew up in MA, went to high school there, but have been living in VT for the last 8 years. I couldnt vote in the election but i have some pretty hard feelings about the outcome. Mainly because my facebook has been filled by stupid comments from asshats that barely graduated HS and still live in my hometown.

My final .02, The main issues i oppose Scott Browns stance are marijuana legalization, abortion rights, and healthcare.
