well stated sir!
Our generation should be the ones pissed off! we are the ones who will have to pay for all this money we are spending down the road. there is talk of another stimulus package and already another talk or recession (and some people a depression) in 2012. this is because we have not learned ANYTHING from the financial mess. oh yeah... we passed a financial reform bill... big deal, more regulation. don't you think its funny that the most heavily regulated sector in our country is the one sector that failed?
we do not produce anything in this country. We cannot make anything in this country, our government is "killing" business, i know, im one of them.
the problem with the government is they never "fix" the problem, they just throw money at it (which we all know never fixes anything in the long run), or regulates or taxes... it never ends.
Once the government starts theses programs they keep going and will never end. its a self-fulfilling, paved road to a depression. at some point we are going to run out of ppl to tax. guess what happens when you raise taxes beyond what the reasonable business person thinks they should be taxed? you get a cash economy. people getting paid under the table, it happens everytime the government raises taxes to an unseen level. so more taxes, less money coming in.... yeah, that makes sense.
we are going down a very very dangerous road with these welfare programs, helping out the "poor." But the argument the government makes is we need to help out the poor, for the "public interest." but who is the public interest. if you take away somebody's house to give to some other, less unfortunate person, you just took somebody's natural right and gave it to somebody else. is that right? you cannot regulate prosperity, you have to believe in yourself that you can make it, that you earned that "almighty dollar."
there will always be poor people. if you steal a thread to patch a hole in your shirt, eventually the whole thing will unravel.
im way off topic but Ron Paul would be a good choice.
