They don't you dumbass. Watch a contest. You'll see a lot of people doing other tricks. They straight air the first hit because they want that one ridiculously huge boost coming off off the wall.
At one point at some comps they required a straight air in the run and I think an inversion. I remember all the women doing little pussy backflips at the bottom to get their inversion in.
