Really Shaun White?............

Dude X-Games is all about the money. Ask any joe shmo who Shaun White is and they'll know who he is. He generates so much renevue so of course their gonna give their money maker great scores. And honestly he has progressed the sport so much, he goes huge, so he does deserve good scores. Certainly not 100s 98s etc but he still slays.
 
Every year its the same shit. Shaun once again proves he is the best pipe rider EVER, and every year you haters have to make a thread about it. Get over it people. He is the best and deserves the scores that he gets. A 100? Maybe not, but there is no one that can touch him in pipe. No one is even on his level. I feel bad for the other competitors really. Must suck to sign up for a comp knowing the best you will get is 2nd.
 
the worst part of this xgames was his interview after slopestyle. the dumb bitch actually said "i know you didn't come here for 2nd place". yeah no shit dumbass, thats because he got 5th
 
everyone really needs to stop bitching about shaun white. he's obviously the best pipe snowboarder competing right now, and it really isn't very close.
 
Yeah he is the best pipe rider but I'm sick of all the publicity he gets for being the best Snowboarder period. He's not even close. We're bitching because he's a prick.

At least we still know he has zero rail game and can't hold shit on the field in slope style.
 
He actually deserved 98 on this run or this exact run last year would have truly derved 100(clean, no hand drag). Best pipe run of all time (I have to admit even if I really hate Shaun White). I cant wait for the japanese kid to beat him tho. But at this point, Shaun really looks untouchable, I dont even know if I-Pod's best run with his best new tricks could have beat him. At least skiing's pipe is more entertaining with so many guys that can take it.
 
Kid you are disillusioned by your hate for the guy. He is pretty damn sick at slopestyle as well, he won gold at euro x just last year in it. And this year at X he could of easily gotten a medal if he landed a clean run. I would venture to say he is prob the worlds best park snowboarder right now (that includes slope and pipe). I think he is a total douchebag as well, but give credit where it's do.

But Travis Rice takes the cake for best overall snowboarder imo.
 
Some people in this thread are ridiculous. I can't stand the guy but there should be absolutely no dispute about his pipe dominance. He was far and away the best tonight as always.

STOP IT! take 5 minutes and rewatch the runs from tignes last year. he didn`t win slopestyle, the judges presented him the gold medal in order to get espn a good story and more attention. watch mcmorris run and then tell me that white really "won" x games slopestyle at tignes.

His 98 run is probably one of the (if not the) best snowboard pipe run of ALL TIME. 24 feet out, insane.

You ride his jock soooo hard. He reverted. It is FACT they would dock points off of any other run. And you can't tell me his run was good enough that it had the points docked, and was still that high. The theme the commentators had was "Perfection, we don't just give gold away". And other reverts, hand drags got points off. But not for Shaun... Yeah, he threw down. But you need to subtract points where they aren't due, he made mistakes that are a kiss of death for any other rider. He is just untouchable because ESPN knows they need to squeeze every dime outta him that they can, and that's fact. Just like Kelly Clark's run, which wasn't stylish at all, and lacked grabs on a spin or two... Yet she beat out Elena Hight, who threw the first female double in a comp, EVER. Which is bullshit... I'm done ranting.
 
if we are gonna talk landing dont you think its kind of weird that HH got a perfect 50 for doing a pretty shit landing on his trip while Kai did a trip landed perfectly and only got a 44 (i think)
 
landing the hardest big air trick ever thrown and still riding out is something else than reverting after landing! and don't compare big air judging to pipe! in x-games big air u should NOT care about points, just about the ranking order...pipe on the other hand is an olympic discipline since 1998!
 
Henrik didn't revert the landing, he landed switch and rode away. The camera angle made it look like he reverted
