Ok they added like 500 ams and are changed up their once god awful graphics.

But they are not tricking anyone it is a super huge company that is trying to go back to being core, granted next season we will see more nordica skis on the hill than over before. But I for one not going to fall for it all they did was copy Line by taking their ski line up and skiers.
 
Stop hating on Nordica. They signed some SICK skiers and it's gonna help their company. What's wrong with that??

Also, kieran mcveigh urinates more style than you will ever see in your life.
 
who the hell cares they make great boots and decent skis, and they've been a core skiing company forever. yeah they weren't always freeskiing but come on they're like one of the originals
 
Nordica is playing the game right, and making a killing doing so. Its no wonder they want in on the freeski scene- its blowing up! We got olympic events now!
 
Dont be shittin on Nordica. This company has done a complete flip and has really came a long way with their products. There is a reason why so many skiers want to be riding on Nordica now. Next years line as the sickest graphics and also an amazing improvement in all there products. Dont hate if you have not ridden on there new skis.

Who said they're "trying to be core"...?

They've simply changed their marketing strategy to involve a stronger presence of their AM team. When they hired Evan Williams to take over their team he decided that this would be a great way to push their products, and it's working. Who cares anyways, it gives lesser name skiers more opportunities, it gives the company a boost in sales, and it gives us (everyone else) some awesome edits to watch...kinda seems like everyone is winning (except you who just wants to hate).
 
Everyone on this website is such a fucking hipster it kills me. Anytime anyone does anything that becomes cool people shit all over it. Way to be such a genius and figure out Nordica's crazy complex business scheme OP. Sorry that you're too busy thinking of a way to hate on their great idea rather than make something of your own life and do something that's worth while. For example your grammar, if you're going to hate on something at least make it so I can fucking read it.
 
they've come a long way since Kristi leskinen was riding Nordica beasts. Evan and everyone is killing it right now and their skis are on point too
 
hahah fuck ya Ben! all NS does is hate. Its skiing, everyone suppose to support each other, not be riding each others dicks about who's better, and who sucks. I saw a thread the other day hating on Kieran, what a joke. He is a fellow skier, we're all homies, support!
 
For real. I said it in that thread and I'll say it here before all the Kieran haters come. Everyone who hates on him is just jealous he's getting more attention than who they think defines a good skier. I'm so stoked Nordica picked him up and is helping him get the publicity he deserves for doing something original. Whether it's watching him ski in video or in person he's one of my favorites to watch.
 
in a way this is very true. (you're still a fucking prick for saying what you said though) but I feel like everyone their is old and doesn't know what the fuck to do with the park scene and Evan was like "yo we gone spons a buncha my homies from the east that kill it and everyone is gonna see them slayin shit in the edits I make and its gonna make you made ski sales. Just like Line does it, and we don't even have to pay them, just give them skis." Then the 40yr olds were all like "uhhh I guess, but shouldn't they all be in like x games and doing doubles?" Then Evan tells them they are old as fuck and they don't know anything about modern day park skiing.

And now everyone is hyped on Nordica and they replanted a nice fresh name for themselves in the industry and Im sure have seen an increase in ski sales

Its just skiing. The topic is worth a convo but not worth any hate on anyone. More brands supporting freestyle, creativity and shedding some of their old ways is another great step in getting more young riders into the park and out of the race course and off their snowboards is fine by us! (just don't swag bite us too much)

 
I'm pumped to see Nordica back and I'm pumped to see them back in the park scene. I don't get why you're hating, this is beneficial for everyone involved from the riders to the team managers.

You know Evan Williams? Yeah well it appears he has picked up a job filming all the sick athletes on Nordica. They're supporting your industry. It doesn't matter what their motives are, whether its based on greed or for the good of park skiing. Regardless, more money is going towards our sport and its helping both athletes and industry personalities. I never knew that was a bad thing.

Seriously, they're doing some smart marketing, and clearly it's working. We get to watch these filthy edits, riders get attention, they get money. winwinwin

So they upped their park ski game, invested in a bunch of sick up and comers, and have been putting out sick edits. I fail to see a problem here.

I thought we didn't like big companies because they WEREN'T doing this kind of thing?
 
2nd time posting in the forums in one day. Damn!

SO:

1. The Nordica AM team is composed of only 8 riders. So no, we didnt sponsor 500 kids.

2. Only 3 people out of the entire nordica team live in the east. Another false claim there.

3. Nordica is actually pretty damn small in comparison to most other companies out there. One of the most common misconceptions is that Nordica is some MEGAbrand that is inaccessible. Not true. Come see our office in West Lebanon, NH. You can see for yourself.

4. I work side by side with an awesome crew at Nordica who are ALL die hard skiers. Example: The president of Nordica, Willy Booker, browses NS everyday. He watches edits and browses the forums just like all of you do. So no, im not the only one in the office who follows freeskiing. We all do.

5. This reply is too damn long and im going to stop now.

Thanks for the support everyone! I agree with previous posts, we are all skiers who effing love what we do. Why hate?
 
who would have thought that kieran, dane, and lupe, three of the nicest people ive met this season would be this controversial. i kinda met evan too, another kind soul. its just kind of ironic.

people do their job well and are good people and they get the MOST hate lol.
 
fucking a newschoolers is ridiculous sometimes i hate that i love this site sometimes. fucking a kieran dropped a sick edit at the start of the season everyone crapped themselves, now another one drops with multiple style kids all on the team and people hate. I don't understand i'm probably getting trolled but god damn, why can't everyone just be stoked on skiing and where it is, these guys on this team are about to blow up. I haven't seen people ride breck like that yet this year that edit was next level on style and way they looked at that park. fuck ya nordica team you guys are killin it

i never skied for line. also quit being a dick the people are trying to expand their company and appeal to the group just like everyone else. what a crime.
 
holy shit i am never looking in the ski gabber ever again. Who gives a shit who skis for what team. I mean, seriously, grow the fuck up.
 
Making boots for 50+years and skis for 10+years. Sounds pretty core to me. Pretty much made the modern day ski boot. Only boot Shane ever rode.
 
youre so right i hate watching sick edits and when kids finally get some exposure they deserve all while producing a super high quality boot and ski line. fuck i hate nordica this really really sucks thanks evan williams you asshole.
 
honestly yeah they aint bad. They dont really fit my criteria of what I personally want in a ski but they seem to hold up decently well. They're also an original company that has made it through all the rough times the ski industry has gone though in the past decades. Signing Ams is a good thing, its making our sport grow and its not hurting anything. What the fuck is wrong with you? No reason to hate.
 
Yeah totally dude giving a bunch of ams the opportunity to pursue their dreams is played out. Nordica is too corporate to like, I'm pretty sure they even make race skis! LIne! rabble rabble rabble
 
Second getting riders out of the race course, that place causes kids to join TGR (or worse...EpicSki) and get boring desk jobs never to return. Racing may improve your skiing, but once it sucks you into plug-boot hell there is no coming back.

Nordica has been around forever, just like Atomic, Elan, and Kastle. These brands are in no way "newschool" in their roots. Companies like Line, Armada, and 4FRNT came to be at the roots of the newschool ski movement and that was always their focus. Atomic over the past few years has garnered many new-age freeskiers as well as seasoned big-mountain riders that have helped in the growth of their freeski line. Nordica is doing the same thing with their park division, and it's a good thing. They have a good rider base which will help drive sales of their park skis.

While they may be a little late to the game, the industry is still growing from top to bottom, and more kids are getting into the park. Nordica just wants a piece of the "Kieran McVeigh style urination."
